Resumo: (technology)
The hosting organization is a Municipal School of Technology and Entrepreneurship, visitors come to have fun in their leisure time. Young people experiment and solve technical challenges. The participants are supported by inspiring supervisors and generously with materials, tools and machines. The activities are conducted on evenings, weekends and holidays and can be of different lengths and have a varied content with a focus on practical work. Mechanics, electronics and programming are some of the technology areas that are treated to create movement, sound and light in fun applications.
Perfil: Age: 18-30
You must be legally residing in a EU member state. You must be passionate about helping others to grow, both personally and technically. You must have a big interest and some knowledge in the technical world. It doesn’t matter if you are formally educated or self taught but you should be motivated and interested in learning new things as well as sharing what you can with others.
We want you to be able to speak English on a comfortable level since communicating with colleagues and visitors is a big part of the job. You also have to be willing to adapt to a new culture and also share your own.
Tarefas: At the organization you will guide young people and children in the world of many different technical techniques. You will also get the possibility to create your own projects that involve youths in some way, created from your own interests.
To be able to challenge and listen to each participant's ideas and thoughts, the supervisor density is high at the organization's activities. All participants should feel - I want, can and dare!
Condições: Pocket/food money: The volunteer will get food and pocket money according to the European Solidarity Corps funding rules paid at the end of every month by bank transfer.
Accomodation: The volunteers will share a flat in Örebro and you might have to share room with another volunteer. The kitchen will be equipped with most of the kitchenware you need. Heating, electricity and wifi is provided.
Local transport: A monthly ticket for the local public transport or a bicycle will be provided for each volunteer.
