Resumo: (project with disable people)
The coordinating organization is made up of 168 associations. The coordinating organization was born in 2018. Since then, the coordinating organization is the juridical continuity.

We work in synergy with local authorities and have agreements and collaboration protocols, with specific focus on social policies and youth policies with Provinces, Planning Offices, Municipalities, Courts and External Criminal Enforcement Offices, Schools, Universities. We are accredited as a third-tier body of the Civil Service and we are closing the process for the accreditation of the Universal Civil Service.

We believe that the participation of citizens in the social contexts they inhabit represents an opportunity for individual growth and collective solidarity: through participation citizens exercise their skills, make new cohesive bonds, discover resources, develop ability to understand problems and increase social awareness, affect the living conditions of the communities themselves. Therefore, the organization's goal in the field of volunteering promotion is to build experiences that connect individual engagement activities to the social value they generate, to build supportive and cohesive communities. We work for set up, support and enhance citizens' participation experiences, enhance the learning generated through individual experiences, stimulate critical analysis of the contexts, methods and themes around which participation develops and how these are related to the experiences of traditional volunteering.

Perfil: All people aged 18 - 30, who have a genuine interest and passion for working with people with disable people. No professional skills and experience is required, however is good if experienced in similar sector or providing support in personal life in order to have a realistic idea of working with people with disabilities. As we work with vulnerable adults, the volunteers should be kind, patient and compassionate. hobbies and skills that they are willing to share with the residents, such as art, music, cooking, drama, sports that can complement activities.

Tarefas: The volunteers will be involved in activities with disable people at the daily centre and promotion of youth volunteering at the coordinating organization. The European volunteer supports the team of the hosting organization about 30 hours a week, and the team of the coordinating organization about 10 hours a month. At the coordinating organization the volunteer will be mainly involved in actions related to young people (promotion of volunteering in schools, planning of youth events ...) At the hosting organization the volunteer will have the opportunity to experience some of the many initiatives that take place there: art, motor, rehabilitative, therapeutic workshops with disable people.
The volunteer may act directly in practical artistic activities (laboratories of handworks, clay, recycled paper, painting, flower arrangement, loom...), in physical activities (gym, swimming pool, pancafit, dance...), in expressing activities (tale laboratory, vegetable garden therapy, music and theatre workshop.

Condições: The volunteer is hosted in a fully equipped home in a University residence in Como; it has living room, kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom. The volunteer will share the home with other two volunteers. They will share kitchen and bathroom. The house is in the city centre of Como. The volunteer will have monthly bus ticket to get the hosting headquarter
