Resumo: (environmental protection)
The organization is a nonprofit organization established in 2014 and its objective is to strengthen and promote entrepreneurship and a culture of the society and citizens, especially the youth.

The organization aims to contribute to create a friendly business environment and strengthen the culture of the youth and communities in relation to entrepreneurship which will lead societies themselves to sustainable economic development. The mission of the organization is to help through its actions the systematic development of entrepreneurship within Greek borders and beyond. Its vision consists of full implementation of relevant models and business plans and the promotion of artistic, social, intellectual and creative activities.

In order to serve the above purposes the organization organizes various conferences, events, seminars, youth projects, trainings & workshops, presentations, exhibitions etc. Last but not least, we shall mention the two clubs we are running, the BM Women's Club that aims in mutual support and networking within women entrepreneurs and BM Youth Club that engages young people into entrepreneurial learning and volunteering activities. From January of 2018 until 2021 The organization was the hosting organization of European Direct Information Center of the European Commission.

This is a volunteering project of 8 months. It involves 2 volunteers who will visit schools and institutions of the local community for research and information purposes. Specifically, the volunteers will get in touch with young people, students, to find out if the young people in our area are aware of issues related to the environment, the recycling of renewable energy sources and the protection of the environment in general. Also, they will examine how can we promote these actions, cultivating active European citizens who care and act for the common good. Considering that intercultural activities are disappearing from the local community, this program will contribute to the realization of an existing poor social consciousness, alienating that does nothing but harm the acceptance and integration required in today.

The volunteers will have the opportunity to work and develop their own project in order to improve and give solutions to the problems that will be found out during their research, expanding its outcomes and dissemination further in the future and in different regions. In addition, they will integrate in the local society, by taking part in actions of our organization and local community, meeting people and promoting social actions and initiatives.

Perfil: No former experience or skills are required, since purpose of the project is for the participants to learn
and self-develop. They should show good will and devotion and we will be here to help them make the most out of this learning experience, for life!

During the project, the volunteers will receive constant guidance and support regarding their new responsibilities and life. They will have their mentor always by their side and all of us will try to give the most creative approach to their service, using non-formal learning and not just theoretical practices, emphasizing on the importance of their own ideas in an overall interactive environment. In this way, the volunteers will enhance their personal development, working skills and will to be socially active. Through this project, we wish to inform and sensitize the more people possible, become active members of the society, take part in recycling programs, and make a difference at both local and European level, by discovering and developing new capacities and skills.

Our organization and volunteers will try to disseminate the outcomes of the project, through a series of activities, like seminars, workshops, informative events/campaigns, round table discussions, meetings, questionnaires, and more. In addition, a possible realization of the project created by the volunteers would be very advantageous for the dissemination, impact and goal achievement of their work.

After all, it is about a non-ending process, constantly promoting and enhancing its long term benefits, for a more connected and active Europe and conscious citizens.

Tarefas: Volunteers will visit schools and educational institutions to inform them about environmental protection. They will also inform young people about European programs on recycling and the environment.
We will also organize seminars and information sessions related to Europe, as well as other more informal activities (film forums, multicultural meetings, etc.) in which we disseminate information about the EU. In these campaigns, volunteers will be able to present their experience of European citizenship.

Volunteers will also participate in and organize other mobility activities so that the groups receive predeparture training in order to add more value to their multicultural experience so we will enable them in this training process, Solidarity Corps volunteers can talk about their experience living in another culture and country and contribute to their preparation.
The volunteers will also be able to engage in activities such as the organization of seminars, workshops and training workshops.
They will assist the training team throughout the process.

Volunteers will also:
-search, select and diffuse local, regional and national media information.
-manage the information field on website, Facebook, e-newsletter, blog update, etc.
-organize and develop their own projects in local or international level.
-participate in the organization of theAnnualYouth Forum of the organisation.
-cooperate with the public or private stakeholders, schools and other bodies working on the youth sector.

Volunteers will have a mentor for all these activities

Horário: The volunteers will work Monday to Friday, 7 hours per day, from 10:00 - 17:00, with a one-hour lunch break.

Hours may vary from day to day based on project needs, and the volunteer can be asked to work additional hours if needed.
Additional hours will be credited towards time off. In terms of holidays, 2 days off per month are foreseen during the service. These days can be gathered and used all together or in different times, but always agreeing with the Hosting Organization.
The Public Holidays are the same as the national holidays. These are considered as extra days off and the volunteers will not be asked to work.

Condições: The traveling costs of the volunteers will be covered by the project with the limit amount of 275 euro for
each participant. From the airport to the house transfer will be provided by a member of the team.

Accommodation will be in an apartment. The apartment is fully equipped and has two rooms, where each volunteer have their own separate room. They will share the kitchen and the bathroom. Before the arrival of the volunteers, the apartment will be disinfected according to all the hygiene rules. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, volunteers will need to bring towels, body sponges and personal hygiene items.

Volunteers will be responsible for maintaining the house, keeping it clean, following the rules of the place, and keeping the quiet hours. The organization will not be responsible for any damage caused in the house by the volunteers. In case of any damage, the volunteers will bear the costs of the repair.

Each volunteer will be provided with 250 euros per month.
-150 euros for pocket money
-100 euros for food and a card for public transportation.
Money will be given to the volunteers at the beginning of every month.
The budget for travelling from/ to Thessaloniki is 275 euros (for more details go to travel & accommodation page).

Also, our organization will help the volunteers to get the European Youth Card. The European Youth Card can be obtained by all young people aged 13-30.
