The hosting organization is a civic association founded in 2005.

The organization is a platform for creativity.

We support young people by offering them space for realizing their own ideas and developing skills.

VALUES
We believe in the capabilities of young people.
We strive for having a personal approach to every young person.
We offer innovative, creative, highly-developed programs of non-formal education
We welcome all young people and we listen to their ideas.
We co-operate with other organizations and value their work.

Regular activities:
– lectures, workshops, educational events (e.g. Meetings with travelers – evenings, movie evenings – social inclusion, multicultural workshops connected to different countries, culinary events with volunteers, food degustation). Focus group: youth within 18-30 years old and wider public.
– cultural events e.g. multicultural festival
– thematic exhibitions, festivals, concerts
– international youth exchanges for people who are mainly interested in particular topic e.g.: Journalist camps, Youth democracy projects, Youth councils
Large part of the activities have been performed not only by the European volunteers but also by the local youth involved in the activities.
– connected to the ecological farm: ecological and permaculture farming, seasonal activities – sowing, garden cultivation, making homemade jams, harvesting the crops, natural building activities – straw-bale building, mud building.
– library connected: regular activities connected to the promotion of English library – English classes, English coffee meetings, fairy-tale workshops for children, taking care of the book evidence, and the activities connected to the library and book care.
– Youth Councils – participation in the Youth Council meetings, organisation of the meetings,
– Business Gate – running events connected to the activities in the Business Gate
– Forest Kindergarden classes – preparing the classes (connected to alternative schooling) with children and running them

Occasional activities:
– cultural events e.g. multicultural festival, eco-oriented festival, Outdoor film festival, Pidi-festival and Pumpkin season connected to the Ecofarm activities, – the mentioned events are occasional but their preparation consume more than six months.

– thematic exhibitions, concerts.

– international youth exchanges for people who are mainly interested in particular topics, mainly: Journalist camps, Youth democracy projects.

Apart from the above mentioned regular activities the organization also realizes other activities like trainings for youth workers, participates in partnerships and cooperates with other non governmental organisations in its region. Therefore we try to involve our volunteers as much as possible also in these activities. The European volunteers work also together with a local group of volunteers consisting of high-school students.

The organization employs 3 full-time and 5 part-time employees, but a great majority of our work is performed by volunteers.

Perfil: AGE: 18-30

LANGUAGE: Working language is mainly Englishwith the opportunity to learn basic Czech.

Tarefas: Tea House:
tea inspired activities here are mainly connectd to ecological educatio, multicultural tea festival, Svatek caje preparation, Mongolian yurt trips, tea degustations and upcycling/recycling wokrshops

Youth Work:
organizing events like a nationwide school magazine competition, film festivals Kino na Hranici or Snow Film Fest, participating in youth parliaments preparing workshops and meetings

Community Work:
Facilitating community involvement, connecting deifferent communities from Karviná town (Roma people, orphans,seniors, youth, polish minority, foreigners) through miscellaneous workshops

Culture events:
cultural space - providing smaller and larger music events, festivals, concerts or even discos. Community events like gastronomic events, quizzes, conversations in foreign languages, lectures, screenings, workshops and theaters, charitable events, volunteering and project management.

Enterpreneurship:
unique coworking centre and enterpreurail hub, where students meet real projects. Activities involve project management, marketing and economics.

Work with Children:
alternative forest school and kindergarten, the children naturally move in a multilingual environment.
Volunteer is involved with children and learns alternative approaches to education

Library for youth:
a volunteer center, civic education (human rights, multiculturalism), genre programs (travel, fantasy, horror movies) and targets age 13-26

Project Management:
Apart from activities stated above, you can get involved in number of non repetative projects we run or even apply for our own miniproject and get funding to implement your ideas.

Condições: The project is fully funded by EU within European Solidarity Corps.
The volunteer is expected to work approx 6 hours a day during the workdays.
All of volunteers' needs are taken care of within the project - the volunteers will live in a shared flat with bathroom, kitchen and WiFi, get insurance, budget for food and pocket money (approx 300 EUR per month in total).
In addition it is allowed to have a side hustle for a volunteer in their free time.
