Resumo: Our aims are:
Improving the quality of leisure time
Improving self confidence of young people
Offer an incoming point for specific youth problems

Perfil: The volunteer should be open minded, competent in relationship building especially with children and youth, communicative and interested in our working acitivities.
Pre-experience in working with children and youth are not obligatory, but would help to integrate the volunteer in our offerings.
The recruitment will be done in coopertion with the cordinating organisation. In case ther are possibilities of matchmaking through other "Youth in Action" activities (such as PBA's) we' appreciate to get involved into this.
The project 5erHaus is coordinated by Grenzenlos within the MELANGE programm. Within the networks of Grenzenlos the project placement is promoted and open for all young people interested in the hosting placements. An application consist of a CV, a Motivation letter and the full detais of the responsible sending organisation which Grenzenlos forwards to Nautilus where the selection will be made within the team and the parents.
All vacant placements of Grenzenlos EVS projects will be sent to all partner organisations of Grenzenlos and will be published on the 'evs works'-site as well. In this way the placement is open for all applications.
However in the selection procedure a preference is shown for candidates with fewer opportunities. The applicants are informed about specific preferences (gender, background etc) including the justification for these preferences. The applicants are welcome to inform about the current procedures an ask questions at any time. Upon request, the hosting placement can be asked to give reasons for their selection

Tarefas: His/her tasks should be:
- Leisure time activities with children
- Doing day-tours with children together with regular members of the team (especialy in the summer)
- Get in contact with young people and - if possible - discuss with them about different culture etc.
- Participating in sport activities like football, basketball, table-tennis etc.
- Helping the staff with little practical tasks
- No administration work is requested
- Participating in gender-specific-activities
- Support the regular team in preparing bigger events like dance perfomances, big parties, competitions etc.
- The volunteer should be present normaly 4 days but in exceptional situations it could be that he/she will be asked to come for a certain event/ project also on the weekend.
- The plan is that the volunteer is present for activities with children and youth. In exceptional cases also adult education activities (e.g.language courses) in the centre can be supported by the volunteer.

16:30 - 18:00 Break, evaluatiing afternoon-work, preparing evening-activities
18:00 - 20:30 Open house for teenagers - between 11 and 16 years (including dance training, disco etc…)
20:30 - 21:00 Evaluation of the activities
Tuesday
13:00 - 17:00 Staffmeeting. Planing and evaluating the programm for the following week. Diskussing about Problems and preparing projects.
18:00 - 20:30 Open house for young people between 13 and 19 years (including dance training, disco, sports etc…)
20:30 - 21:00 Evaluation of the activities
Wednesday
13:00 - 13:30 Arrival at centre and participating in the preliminary meeting of the regular team
13:30 - 16:30 Being involved in activities with children. Sports, playing, creative actions
Thursday
13:00 - 13:30 Arrival at centre and participating in the preliminary meeting of the regular team
13:30 - 16:30 Being involved in activities with children. Sports, playing, creative actions

IMPORTANT:
Since we are working with gender-specific-activities please notice:
If the volunteer is female: There is a special girls day on Friday. At this day no male in our center is permitted.
Friday
13:00 - 13:30 Arrival at centre and participating in the preliminary meeting of the regular female team.
13:30 - 16:30 Doing a lot of actions with young girls (i.e. outdoor activities, sports, visiting exhibitions, cinema, museum etc.)
16:30 - 18:00 Break, evaluating of the afternoon's activities, preparing for the evining
18:00 - 20:30 Working with girls from 15 - 19 Years. A lot of outdoor activities like:
Cinema, sports, visiting exhibitions, museum or special offer in the district.
20:30- 21:00 Evaluation of the activities

If the volunteer is male:
Wednesday
17:30 - 18:00 Preliminary meeting with the regular staff members in order to plan the evening activities.
18:00 - 21:00 Working with boys from 10 - 19 Years. Discussion groups about politics, gender roles, spending togehter the leisure time, playing soccer, table football, billard etc. Planing and discussing outdoor activities. Execute outdoor activities.
on Monday, Tuesday and Wednsday its possible to participate in the activities for adults (9.00- 12.30)

Condições: Regular formal and non-formal meetings with the staff of Grenzenlos and the project mentor are planned.
Grenzenlos staff will intervene and provide support and deal with crisis management with both the volunteer and host organisation and will in turn report, if necessary, will liaise with the volunteer's family. The volunteers will be provided a emergency phone throuhg which, in case of emergency, the Staff of Grenzenlos can be reached. Furthermore he/she will receive the contact of the mentor
The mentor of 5erhaus will be available for him or her whenever he /she will need help, so possible crises will be prevented.
Jugendzentrum 5erHaus does not host a volunteer aged under 18
