Resumo: Work in a primary school , assist the teachers and offer projects in the child day nursery after school.

Perfil: The volunteers should be interested in working with chidlren and have joy in handling with them. The institution is open for all the youth.

Tarefas: The volunteers should cotrbute to the community of the Sinnberg School with their abilities, skills, interests and personality.They should collect diverse experience and be aware of pedagogical skills.They should learn to perceive their talents, contribute and develop targeted offers for the children. They are going to get to know about Germany, culture, values, norms and pedagogy. They will have the opportunity to get to know how to handle with children of different ages, if they want tey can work with various age groups (around 6-10 years old).They will get to know the institution, where the children with diverse roots taken care of are and how a school can be good and constructive shaped.
The volunteers are part of the team and they participate in every team meetings, planning, evlautaion, team's trainings.
The activities of the volunteer are: the volunteer will enrich the week day at school. They wil be partially accompanied and facilitate the classes in small groups. They will get the insight about the various offer for the pupils, for example project for health education, social learning and language promotion. In the full day care services the volunteers can take part amd propose new project offers in sport associations, lunch, school kiosk and school garden, for example in the sport, music, ecological or creative school area. The self-initiative of the volunteers is expected and will be supported.

Condições: The volunteers have safe working conditions in this project. They are not only involved in one team but they receive continous guidance. The project stays in close contact with the coordinationg organisation, which is in contact with the volunteer as well. Thanks to the coordinating organisation volunteers are in the network of different volunteers, who are all taken care by one mentor. The mentor is concerned about all the personal issues of the volunteers. The vlunteers live usually in living community or student house together, where they can from the beginning help each other with safety and orientation aspects. Through regular meetings from the beginning of the EVS with the mentor from the coordinating organisation and wit other volunteers it is possible to recognise all the crises and solve the problems

Formação: The School heard about the possibility of the European Voluntary Service from the Youth Care Bad Kissingen, which has been hosting EVS volunteers for some time and had the contact with the care services of the volunteers. As in the Sinnberg School many children have got the migration background, the institution developed a diverse program that the children can learn with “all the senses. In this intercultural institution the European Volunteer could support the offer of the school with their skills, abilities and motivation, they could contribute to the After School Care.
