Resumo: The hosting organization is a care home for old people. This old age care home is a qualified institution for inpatient care (residents live there). The house has 78 care spaces that are double or single rooms. This includes 8 short-term care spaces. There is also a day care programme for people in the area who need help.The institution offers holistic (mind and body) and encouraging support care with additional therapy services. There are also many free-time activities, varied events and a high level of comfort.
In 1998 the hosting organization did more building to increase opportunities and services. They built eleven single and double apartments for assisted living. This was located at the back side of the big parking house. Certification DIN ISO 9001 was successfully completed in September 1998. We continuously try to improve the quality of our care and support services.
We do this with continuous quality management and yearly certification for the international standard DIN ISO 9001:2008.Seniorenzentrum Emmaus is a multi-level institution for supported living. There are long-term, short-term, and day-care spaces. There is also an open lunch menu. There is also a special living area for people with dementia (disease of the mind). The goal is to offer each resident the individual level of support they need.Seniorenzentrum Emmaus cares for the residents in a holistic way (mind and body).
Newest knowledge is used for medical, care, and social areas of the residents. The individual care needs of the residents are met by working with the residents, families, doctors and the various professional groups. So, basic care, treatment care and social care work together and benefit the old age care home residents. The hosting organization has an occupational therapist, two everyday care assistants and highly qualified specialists.
Perfil: Age: 18-30
young people with less
opportunities in terms of education what we define as: having no academic degrees, even no university entrance qualification. For these young peole we offer voluntary service projects for occupational orientation and preparation for a vocational training in Germany. In the attachment you'll find a more detailed description, in particular
for young people in a career in the nursing field. You'll also find a presentation about the german dual training system in general.
Tarefas: The volunteer ensures that the residents‘ strength and skills, which decrease with old age, are developed and activated. There are fun group activities such as baking, artwork, regular gymnastics or brain-jogging (doing puzzles, solving problems, etc.). These strengthen the residents’ minds and weakened bodies.
