Resumo: The care home for old people. All health- and nursing care insurance companies and social benefit service providers accept the care home as an institution for old-age care. It has care supply contracts for all important areas of service. The supporter of this institution is the hospital charity foundation in Löffingen. This is a legally independent public charity; it is not for profit. The charity’s council is the local council.

The management of the old-age home is in the city hall. The care home (seniors) has over 50 rooms. Some are for individuals, some are for two people. The care home offers the rooms for in-patient support and care (person lives at the home full-time). However, short-term care is also possible. The care and support of residents in the old-age home is organized by an all-inclusive (mind and body) concept.

The newest knowledge is used in the areas of nursing care, medicine, and social aspects. The residential area at the old-age home gives a lot of space for individual needs. It is normal to have open doors and a personable life together. The living areas are also not locked! An active daily organization for the residents is very important to the concept. The nursing specialists work together with social care workers to help the residents. This makes all-inclusive care possible. The social care workers offer activities for individuals and groups. These activities are designed for the wishes and needs of the residents. Life habits from before the care home are included in the daily life at the old-age home.

These can include cooking, baking and shopping. So, residents can continue their beloved daily habits while living at the care home. The activities together with the Löffingen Kindergarten (school for young children) make a lively experience in the home. The daily shared meals also build a more personable feeling. Clubs and groups from the community organize seasonal parties; for example, Christmas, Easter, etc.The visiting service of volunteer workers is an asset for the old-age care home. This is a good example of the home’s openness.
