Perfil: Interest in work with children and youth, basic curiosity about social work. Wwillingness to work in the evening or sometimes at weekend .

Tarefas: He/she will be involved in preparing, organizing and post processing the projects of the Youthcare. That means the work in Youthcare itself. Aside this public work there are various offers for children and youngsters, with those the volunteer meets and later work together, e.g. : the creative workshop, "Girls-Action and Boy-Active, in JUKUZ-Dance, Sport in JUKUZ, and in the pupil club.. And another field of volunteer interests - the playground, an area of 5000 square meter. A place for children between 6-12 years old, where they can spend their time building huts, making fire, laying pond, seeding flowerbeds, barbecue,…Taking care of the playground can be another part of duties, which the volunteer should experience and get known. Lots of youth-cultural events and trips provide the volunteer an insight into the possibilities of the Youthcare.
The volunteer will get known the whole sphere of the work there, will be involved and he or she can chose the focus of his/ her interest so that he/she can develop his/her own project, which can be carried out by support of the team.

Condições: The volunteer never works alone in the project. There are regular guide conversations held between the volunteer and the project, in which the work and insets of the volunteer are with him/her evaluated and reflected. So that all the questions can be cleared, problems detected and difficulties can be fixed.
The volunteer is not only involved in the project and co-work in the team but he /she is as well integrated in a network of volunteers, who are staying in or around Würzburg accomplishing their EVS. The coordinator from the supporting organization offers regularly appointments for all volunteers. This is as well the chance for volunteers to discuss potential difficulties in the project, in relation to culture, living, forming a living on her/his own, homesickness and oth-ers. Because of this it may be possible to uncover the problems quite early and to handle it before the escalation shall come. Due to the fact that the coordinator from the supporting or-ganization is almost every time reachable, the volunteers have the possibility to have a con-tact person out of the project with whom they can talk about their crisis situation, e.g. prob-lems between the volunteer and the project; as well the talks to clear the situation can be held.

Formação: Bad Kissingen in North Bavaria is located in a rural region having a weak infrastucture, where the public Youthcare offers various opportunities for young people.Due to the acceptance of volunteers the view of the young people in the region shall be changed by the project with respect to intercultural life, other people, countries, cultures and ways of living. With the volunteers a piece of Europe should be brought into this region. The volunteers are supposed to learn about the various kinds of offers given by the centre and also to co-work and enrich the projects by their experience, different cultures and personalities. The participants should inform about the experience as European volunteer being help, source of information, motivation and to pass on the information about the possibilities offered by "Jugend in Aktion" (Youth in Action) to the local youth.
