Resumo: The coordinating organization is a cultural organization created in 2003 by both experienced youth leaders and young people. The coordinating organization was created with the aim of having a tool to better access the needs of young people living in our local community and territory so to give a concrete contribution to satisfy their requests in terms of participation, active citizenship, feeling of belonging to a common Europe, tolerance and antiracism.

In a more specific way our aim is to get young people closer to European issues, to bring a European dimension in a region far away from decision-making centers and peripheral in terms of geographical and economic position.

The coordinating organization has a team of 5 youth workers, stable local volunteers and University trainees working on daily basis with a large public especially composed of young people aged between 13 and 30 years old. We provide help and training to young people – inside and outside the organization - who want to implement new projects fostering their participation through the organization of international exchanges, intercultural learning activities, information campaigns and workshops about various topics.

The coordinating organization realizes all year long on local level activities and workshops for primary and high schools aiming for the promotion of non-formal education and linguistic competences of the pupils, so as weekly cultural activities in our centers. All our activities are based non formal education and are connected to volunteers, local and international.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The hosting organization is a public space where it is possible to study, read and consult books; the place hosts workshops, seminars and creative activities for children and adults and hosts.
There is also an urban garden, whose objective is to be a centre of aggregation, the garden can be taken care of by the inhabitants of the neighborhood and all who attend the library.
In the garden are developed activities related to creative recycling, construction of greenhouse and street furniture to create a small park for children of the city. Activities may also include cooperation with other local organizations active in the field of environmental protection or working with migrants, or in the filed of handcrafts and entrepreneurship to valorize local traditions.

Condições: The volunteers flat is settled in the city centre.The flat has a living room, a shared bathroom, a big kitchen where the volunteers can prepare meals on their own.

The house is equipped with independent heating and washing machine. Volunteers will stay in a shared room.

The volunteers are obliged to take care of the house and all the furniture and objects in it. The volunteer is responsible for cleaning the house.

In case of damaging or bad shape condition of the apartment, the volunteer must reimburse the expenses.
