Resumo: (refugees)
The Association is an Italian cultural and recreational Association

The Association is an independent association of social and civil promotion. It is composed of 5.600 clubs and over 1.100.000 members. Altogether they create a rich democratic tissue and active participation all across Italy.
The history and the values of the association have their roots in the 19th century tradition of mutual solidarity and people’s self-organizing capacity, the union of people sharing interests, political ideas of democracy.

The organization was born in 2001 as an association of social and civil promotion, it works to support the most vulnerable such as: immigrants, marginalised people. It works to disseminate a solidarity culture in terms of promotion of Rights, empowerment of the disadvantaged groups, social responsibility against racism and gender discrimination.

It also works in the promotion of Youth Action, Youth Policies with projects like the National Civil Service , the European Voluntary Service and European Solidarity Corps.

OUR ACTIVITIES ARE:
Immigration policies:
-The projects related with System of Protection for Asylum Seekers and Refugees. The project welcomes minors under the age of 18 years old and support them to be integrated in the society. The project guarantees to the asylum seekers everyday assistance from the educational to the job field.
Because of their young age Arci believes that the european volunteers are the fine figure to promote and support the integration of foreign minors in the society, and create peer relationships with our beneficiaries of the Sprar project
- The Social soccer: within the immigration policies, we use to organize every year football matches among the vulnerable subjects hosted in the several local and social associations. Sport as an educational tool with the aim to facilitate the social inclusion of the most vulnerable and where the community is a welcoming space. The event planned at the end of the different competitions are: The Sport Festival and The Refugee Day
- Italian classes for foreigners: Arci Rieti organizes Italian classes for the sprar beneficiaries
- Recreational activities for the Sprar minors: as a fundamental element for fostering integration, within the sprar project Arci periodically organizes recreational activities such as: sports, laboratories , outdoors activities for the guys of the project

Association activities:
The European volunteers will collaborate in all the association activities, they will be involved in the organization of the activities or events as well as in the proposal of new activities for the assocation according to their skills and our mission
- Cultural activities: We promote languages courses for members, recreational activities like creative lab, dance courses; events on social matters like the promotion of author movies or books .
- awareness campaigns on social matters like The Week against racism, The Global day action for the rights of immigrants, The Refugee Day

Background and Experience

Youth Policies:

The European volunteers will collaborate in the promotion of the European mobility Programms, they will be involved in the organization of the dissemination activities or events as well as in the proposal of initiatives for dissemination of the Youth in Action principles. Moreover they will be responsible for the updating of the EVS facebook page and other social networks

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The volunteers from programme and partners countries will collaborate in the immigration policies as well as in the other projects and activities like: Cultural and Social activities, Awareness Campaigns, Youth Policies

The ESC project 2021-2022 is a project which takes place in a little and nice city in Italy. It will host 4 volunteers, male and female volunteers, sharing the common house with double rooms. It’s a project that promotes solidarity and integration for minors refugees (between the age of 16-18 years old); Moreover ESC volunteers will be enganged in the promotion of solidarity, awareness campaigns, cultural activities . Esc volunteers will be involved in the Youth in Action promotion and In the involvement of the youth community of the city.

Specifically, the esc VOLUNTEERS activities include:
- Meetings with asylum seekers and refugees, to the establishment of a relationship of communication among peers, informal exchange of cultural backgrounds , support them in the routine activities and school support, create recreational and educational acitvities for them.
- Participation and organization of intercultural awareness campaigns on-line and offline like The Refugees day , The week against racism, The day of volunteering , and in order to produce information materials
- Volunteers will be engaged in no-formal learning activities in the city and with the young of the community
- Volunteers have free choice in the expression of their creativity and in bringing innovation in our project
- Italian classes
- administrative help
- social assistance, for example the initiative Spesa SOSpesa , to gather food donation for the people in need

The volunteers will gain the skills and knowledge with the method of learning by doing and co- working and cooperation
aims:
1 - raise awareness and promote the cultural growth of all those involved in the community facing the current problems of our historical reality ,
2- Provide key competences for the volunteers, the one needed in the labor market (soft skills) 3- Enriching and donate new and different tools to the local community by creating the conditions for an useful exchange,
4 - Responding to the specific needs to all actors in the process creating the potential opportunity to improve their future .
6- Build partnerships with the sending organisations in order to facilitate the future co-project activities.

Condições: The accomodation: volunteers share an apartment or two little apartments with doble rooms, internet connection, the apartment will be equipped with everything necessary.
Pocket money : around 150/155 euro monthly Food: around 165/170 euro monthly
