Resumo: The hosting organization is a NGO that builds an international and independent network of engaged people and of institutions that work for active citizenship and cultural exchange. We are working for a vital civil society and for cultural and language diversity in Europe and its neighbouring regions. We qualify young people, trainers, program coordinators and NGO managers and establish space for encounters and dialogue. MitOst Association was founded in 1996 in Germany and until today has been growing up to 1400 members in 40 countries.

In addition to the membership activities the organization is running programs and projects in the fields of active citizenship and cultural management. Our focus regions are Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. On the European level, MitOst is promoting a wide range of professional and volunteer activities in the areas of active citizenship education, cultural exchange and international cultural management.

With educational programs, volunteer project work, trainings and conferences we support the idea of active citizenship and border-crossing dialogue in Europe. For our network of members, partners and committed individuals, the annual International MitOst Festival is the highlight of the year.

We connect volunteers and professionals, inhabitants and festival visitors in an inspiring atmosphere. Our various events support network and capacity building in non-formal citizenship education among youth and adults.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
fluent in English, familiar with Microsoft Office programs, experience with web design software tools (e.g. WordPress, Canva, Adobe and similar) is an advantage, interested in social media and communication, familiar with non-profit sector and interested in social entrepreneurship, like working in a team and ready to work 30-36hrs/week at our office and during events.

Tarefas: The organization is looking for a volunteer to support our work at horizontal school from November 2021 on. The organization fosters active citizenship, cooperation, and intercultural understanding in Europe and its neighbouring regions. The school offers spaces to learn how to facilitate, develop practices on the levels of self, team, organization or ecosystem, and to connect in a learning community.

You will:
- get an insight in an international NGO and its social-entrepreneurial project;
- dive into the topic of non-formal education and learn about methods and approaches of international trainers about facilitation, project management, organizational development and more
- get an opportunity to take part in our trainings and further contribute in co-shaping our formats from the perspective of participant
- learn about office and event management, and social entrepreneurship
- broaden your international network - get plenty of space to bring in your own ideas

Condições: • Monthly allowance for accommodation, livelihood, monthly tickets, further education;

• Reimbursement of the travel and visa costs, and support with visa application;
• Participation in ESC seminars provided by the National Agency.
