Resumo: The Secondary School of Science was founded in 1881. We have 960 pupils and personnel of ca 100 employees (74 teaching and 23 support staff). Our mission is to rely on long-lasting historical traditions; to be the bearer of high ethos and spirit; to be the flagship school of science education in Estonia.
Our primary school (grades 1-4) pupils start their science and technology studies with a subject called R-Learning. The methods of study include field trips, experiments, group work, the use of different technological devices etc. The main goal is to increase young pupils´ interest in nature sciences, to develop creativity, critical and analytical thinking skills.
In secondary school (grades 10-12) in depth learning of STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) are provided to all: science-technology, science-programming and science-economics.

Our partnership with universities of Technology provides our students a possibility to develop their deeper interests in different sciences. Every year 140-160 pupils of Tallinn Secondary School of Science take part in national or international Olympiads, some of them have achieved great results.

Perfil: Working experience is not required but we are hoping to host volunteer with following background:
- loves children;
- ready to work with students and have the patience and interest in teaching and learning
process;
- friendly and open-minded;
- willing to be involved in youth work and youth activities;
- speaking English on a basic communication level;
- optimistic and cheerful.
Good organizational capabilities are an extra benefit which can be used in school educational activities.
