Resumo: The hosting organization is a Polish NGO established in 1997. The organization’s main objectives are: support and professionalization of the third sector, providing quality support to young people in risk of exclusion through non-formal education methods and promote volunteering, intercultural and intergenerational awareness and respect.

CENTRE OF INTERCULTURAL PROJECT DEPOT
One of the biggest achievement of our organisation is a cultural center and meeting places for young people - Youth Initiatives Centre and the local community in Wroclaw, with huge potential to organise youth exchanges, social events, concerts, theater performances, exhibitions, film screenings, workshops and others. The youth Centre is addressed to teenagers and young people, who are in a risk of social exclusion and is based on a non-formal education approach. This place works also as an Informal Community Centre and it aims to boost the social and cultural life of the neighborhood where Cultural Center is located. It works as social space, with information and activities for the local community - seniors from neighborhood.

EUROPEAN CAPITAL OF CULTURE
Since 2015 we collaborated with European Capital of Culture by supporting different cultural - artistic events, social actions and event for the local community. Together with EVS volunteers we were supporting and organising different activities for European Capital of Culture happening.

CENTER OF ACADEMIC CULTURE AND LOCAL INITIATIVES
In 2016 we have obtained from the local goverment the historic depot which is transformed into Center of Academic Culture and Local Initiatives. The entire area is 18289 ha and space is over 1000 square metres for realizing various cultural initiatives. Organised activities vary from food truck festivals and various fairs, workshops and youth exchanges, conferences, to artistic events (music, visual, theatre, exhibitions, others). AT the back of the venue a community garden is being implemented.
We are creating the exceptional place - The Centre of the Academic Culture and Local Initiatives, in which we want to integrate student and scientific circles, residents of Wrocław and the local community and tourists. The place is directed at children, young people, seniors, students and the local community not only from Wrocław, but also from entire Lower Silesia region.

INCUBATOR
Thanks to its long-term experience and knowledge, the organization also operates as an NGO incubator, being an information, consulting and training platform for the region non-profit organizations within the field of project management and support in international cooperation. The organization strongly promotes the idea of volunteering and at the same time supports the process of professionalization of the third sector and the creation of non-governmental structures.

In those 20 years of existing and working, the association have been cooperating with many different partners, from small starts ups and local informal groups to experienced organisations with multiple members, various schools and public bodies. Even though we cooperated mostly on local and regional level (Lower Silesia), we had some partners on European scope.

Perfil: For this project, we are looking for people between the ages of 18 to 30 years old, open-minded, eager to learn, and motivated to work on all the proposed project activities. The volunteers should be motivated to work with people in a non-formal education context, to support the organization of events but also to do some physical work. The participants should like to develop and improve their skills and abilities, be open for experiments, have some hobbies, and like to share them when organizing activities. Various talents, hobbies, interests are always welcomed.

Tarefas: Volunteers will have a unique opportunity to create with us the Cultural Center located in an old tram depot, now renovated and equipped with a concert room, exhibition halls, photography studio, and a social garden.

The main task of the volunteers will be to help build the Center, take care of the open space and the social garden. In addition, volunteers will conduct the language classes and support the organization of cultural events (concerts, exhibitions, festivals) that we have organized since 2017. As part of their individual projects, they will also be able to organize their own events using all our infrastructure. In addition, volunteers will participate in the program and will visit smaller towns around Wroclaw to present animation, ecological, cultural, and language workshops for kindergartens and schools.

Condições: The organization is providing fully furnished and equipped apartments which are located near to the city center and with good connections to their workplace. The volunteer should be ready to share the room with another volunteer of the same gender and the living space with other volunteers. To give full independence to the volunteer a card for public transport will be provided at the beginning of the project and every month pocket money and food allowance will be transferred to the volunteer account.
