WOULD YOU LIKE TO BUILD A LOCAL COMMUNITY OF MAKERS AND DOERS? ARE YOUINTERESTED IN 3D PRINTING LASER ENGRAVING AND
PHOTOGRAPHY? DO YOU WANT TO SEE FIRST-HAND HOW THE MAKERSPACE AND NGO AREA WORKS?
The hosting organization are popping up all over the world, led by people interested in building up the potential for technological advances within their communities. The central goal of these community-based spaces are to enable knowledge-sharing and assist the general community in gaining knowledge within technological and creative fields, as well as giving people access to machines they wouldn’t normally get to work with. 3D printing, Lasercutting, Woodworking, Vinyl cutter, Heat press, Sewing, etc, are skills that have been made accessible to the general public by spaces such as these. Anyone can join in! It is the future of the creative.
The organization is like a co-working space for the creative ones. We have modern equipment and tools, cozy premises and technical support so that you can work on new products and creative projects. Performs 3D scanning and printing with 3D printers, laser cutting, milling, sewing, photography, working with graphic design and drawing programs
and much more.
Perfil: We are looking for active, creative and outgoing youngsters (18-30 year olds) who would like to be fully immersed in the makerspaces and NGO area. If you are open minded, full of initiative, love to learn and are excited to build things (either products or communities), then we would be happy to have you here!
Tarefas: - Build a community of creative people who are eager to make things.
- Organize local events and masterclasses.
- Manage and develop our social media pages (Facebook & Instagram).
- Develop DARE makerspace brand recognition.
- Create content based on our activities.
- Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement.
Horário: Work schedule:
The volunteers will work around 35 hours per week (6-7 hours per day). Saturdays and Sundays will be free days for volunteers. Working hours can be changed according to the activity plan.
Days off:
The volunteers will have 2 days off per month, which they can collect and use as a week of holidays, for example, when they want. The mentor will arrange the schedule of holidays, it means that volunteers should inform in advance when they are willing to use the holiday
Condições: Travel reimbursement:
Travel tickets from and to your home country will be reimbursed up to 275 Eur. Please remember to ONLY book your tickets after you have received our confirmation and to keep all the original boarding passses.
Accommodation:
During the project, you will stay in the students dormitory together with the other volunteer.
You will have your own room while the bathroom will be shared between the two of you.
Pocket & Food money:
You will also receive monthly pocket money according to ESC guidelines (4 EUR per day) and
5 EUR per day for food

Training and support:
You will have arrival training and mid term training offered by Latvian National Agency. Online language learning platform will help you to learn a language of your choice. You will also have a mentor who will help you in personal development and learning process.
Health insurance
Cigna health insurance will be arranged for you.
YouthPass
Voluntary work is based on the principles of non-formal education, all volunteers will get a YouthPass certificate after the project and describe the knowledge that they have learned in the project.
