Resumo: The hosting organization was established in 2005. The organization manages the area with the surface of 595.5 ha which until 2012 was under preventive protection in the category of significant landscape.
In 2012, the organization has launched the process of expanding the park borders (from current 595.5 ha to over 5500 ha) and re-categorization from significant landscape into a regional park. The area proposed for protection is characterised by a great diversity of ecosystems and habitats and a large number of speleological objects - so far 29 caves were located and the assumption is that in the area which will encompass borders of a future regional park there are more than 40 speleological objects.
On a relatively small area of the park the most diverse karst morphology - a large number egzo-karst forms such as karst fields, sinkholes and bays come to the fore. Besides egzo-karst, in area of the park endo-karst forms, caves and sinkholes can be found. The first written records of researches in the park date back to the 19th century.
Inestimable wealth of underground karst forms, 1/4 of the total number of protected speleological objects in Croatia are located in the area of the park. Besides speleological objects, 4 types of habitats are endangered and protected at European level. Flora in this area is distinguished with 16 protected plant species and three species that are protected at national level (orchids). Out of the fauna, 39 species are protected and the presence of two large Croatian carnivores - the wolf and brown bear should be noted. It is also important to mention that the in the area there are four sources of drinking water and river - Croatia's longest subterranean river. The area abounds with cultural and historical heritage.
Main objectives of the organization:
1. Popularization of speleology and development of speleotourism as relatively undeveloped form of tourism in Croatia;
2. Education of pupils in primary and secondary schools and students (PI developed Eco-educational program of workshops). The main idea of the workshops is to familiarize children with the importance of preserving nature for future generations;
3. Education of local residents;
4. Developmet of sustainable tourism based on natural and cultural values and offer of local products in the context of traditional agriculture, in order to enable local residents an additional source of revenue;
5. Stimulation of systematic researches (speleological, floristic, faunal, mycological, enviromental and geological);
6. Inclusion of volunteers in the work of the organization;
8. Increase the number of visitors of the park in order to stimulate the creation of new jobs related to tourism in the Municipality and beyond, with long-term positive impact on job creation and ultimately to contribute to the reduction of emigration.

Tarefas: Together with our volunteers we will share the responsibility of caring for our environment, conserve and protect it for the benefits of our future generations. We want to continue to work on a small garden with native, edible and healing herbs, which includes taking care about existing plants, maintaing existing trails and infrastructure in the park, work in the field of marketing - educational panels and brochure, adding new content to the senzoric part of garden, work with local kids on Summer school, adding new content (your ideas!).
