Resumo: Our kindergarten has a long history of preparing children fo school. It was established in 1975. We have 10 groups in our kindergarten with about 20 children in each. They are aged from 1,5 to 7.Each group includes two teachers and one assistant fo the teacher.
Our working team is consists of two 2 managing people, 26 teachers, 10 assistants for teachers,kitchen stuff,gardener,repairman and laundry worker.
We offer a wide range of activities for children. Throughout the day, children acquire skills and knowledgeneeded for school. we aim to provide a curriculum that will develop creative thinking, imagination and communication skills. Children have such activities as games and learning,art,music, dance classes, indoor and outdoor sport activities. Every group has 3 or 4 classes every day. Curriculum includes music lessons, mathematics,Estonian and English language, physical education, handicraft and drawing lessons. Every lessin requires a lot of preparation. Tachers write lesson plans, prepare illustrative material and games to make classes more interactive and more interesting for children.

Due to the location of our city we have a mixture of two cultures in our society. In our kindergarted we celebrate both Russian traditional holydays such as Shrovetide or Maslenitsa and Estionan such as Mardipäev. Group teachers and music teacher prepare performances and decorate classrooms for holydays. We have groups of language immersion where all the activities are held in both Estonian and Russian languages. English language lessons are also conducted in our kindergarten. We also take part in a programme Free of bullying.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: Volunteer’s activity is aimed at assisting teachers in daily classes (physical education teacher, music teacher and other), conducting English classes for children, organizing sports activities (preferably in English) during PE lessons, accompanying teachers during the excursions, guided tours, sport competitions, games with children outdoor, decorating the kindergarten interior. Volunteer will take part in the performances, events and celebrations. The age of the children is 4-7. In the frame of this project the volunteer will learning reflection tools, will working on personal project related with sustainable lifestyle. Also together with other volunteers will prepare the community learning festival Everyone is learning in June 2022.

Condições: Volunteers will be accommodated in groups of 2-4 in rented and appropriately furnished flats. They will have a private or shared bedroom and a shared kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet.
Food allowance will be given to the volunteers monthly. The volunteers will cook by themselves.

The city is not a big city, therefore the volunteers will walk to the placement. If a volunteer decide to use public transport for going to the HO, they will get monthly transportation money. In case there are any project activities being held outside the city the volunteers will get their expenses covered by the coordinating organization.
