Resumo: Kindergarten is an educational institution that provides care for children of preschool age and their pre-school education. The pre-school institution supports the child's family, contributing to the child's growth, development and individuality.

At the time of 2020, there are 24 teachers working in the kindergarten, including 4 specialist teachers: a movement teacher, a music teacher, an Estonian language teacher and a speech therapist. Technical staff (24 people) actively helps teachers. The kindergarten successfully employs 10 groups - 4 nursery and 6 garden. From Monday to Friday, 161 children aged 1.5 - 7 years old come to the kindergarten. The kindergarten is located between two of the strongest gymnasiums in the city.

Kindergarten is the best support for parents and their children. Skilled and motivated workers find an individual approach to children and provide the best possible conditions for development. The most important values are: co-working, creativity, development, health and integration of Estonian society.

The main focus of the kindergarten Sädemeke is the artistic and aesthetic development of children. In addition, the kindergarten has other priority areas:
- Project activities;
- The development of information technology;
- Creating a learning environment that improves your child's health;
- Assessing and achieving quality work;
- Working with children with special needs;
- Working with staff;
- Collaboration with parents, schools and other urban institutions.

Throughout the school year, the kindergarten hosts many traditional activities and Estonian celebrations. Once a quarter there is a day of sports and health. Weeks of music and art are given special attention.

Since 2011, the kindergarten participates in the CLIL-training program, and from 2017 the kindergarten has switched to a partial immersion program.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We expect volunteer who love children and have interest to work with them. We are also looking for friendly, open for communication and exchange of experience, hard-working young person with sense of initiative or wish to develop it. We are supportive to participants with fewer opportunities, such as cultural, economic difficulties and geographic obstacles. We welcome and be happy, if a potential candidate has special skills, interests or knowledge.

Tarefas: The volunteer's activities will include: English lessons for children (aged 5-7),Language cafe (English lessons or Volunteer`s native language classes for teachers), decorating the kindergarten, Classes/games with children (handcraft, drawing, etc.) or sport activities, participating in drama classes. Those works what will make volunteer depend of volunteer`s interests . The volunteer will be strongly encouraged to initiate her/his own project and will be provided with a full support in implementation of it.

Also volunteer will implement sustainability mini-project. The volunteer will also participate in information, educational and cultural events organized by coordinating organisation VitaTiim NGO and organise together with other volunteers a festival Everyone is learning in June 2022. A lot depends on the Volunteer’s skills and wish. We also encourage the volunteer to initiate and implement own ideas. We will provide our full support for it.

Condições: Volunteers will be accommodated in groups of 2-4 in rented and appropriately furnished flats. They will have a private or shared bedroom and a shared kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet. Food allowance will be given to the volunteers monthly. The volunteers will cook by themselves.
