Resumo: The hosting organization develops rural areas across seven municipalities in Northern Finland. The municipality has a population of 6 700, and approx. 40% of them are under twenty years old. Te region is know for vast fields as far as the eye can see.

The hosting organization is a non-profit organisation which aims to encourage rural inhabitants to develop their local area. The association cooperates with local people, enterprises, communities, organizations and authorities in seven municipalities in the cost line of western Finland. The association distributes grants to non-profit development projects and enterprise projects.
The organization targets all audiences. In particular, the association is working for the youth and aims to encourage young people to act as active members in the area.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We would like to receive active volunteers who are motivated to work with children and young people. Working hours will change according to tasks, so volunteers need to be flexible.
As the tasks include working with children, an extract of the criminal records is required.
Volunteers must be prepared to live in rural environment and in Finnish winter circumstances

Tarefas: Volunteers will work in activities organised by the culture sector of the munipality. They will participate e.g. in the local youth work: joining youth clubs, youth workshops etc. They will work together with local youth to create activities and increase involvement. Volunteers will also be planning and organising events for and with local residents.

Horário: The project starts on 6 September and ends on 19 December June 2021, with some room for flexibility in dates. (the exact dates may change depending on how the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) affects the circumstances)
