Resumo: For this summer we are planning EVS project. With this project we would like to bring pieces of Europe to young people in Litija, especially to the ones that would like to get to know other cultures, but they do not have the chance to travel. We would be very happy if EVS volunteers would be youngesters with less oportunities too (unemployed).
We are planning diferent kinds of workshops: learning the languages, introducing music (etno, the kind that young people mostly like,…), get to know the food of different countrys, get to know the most famous things of each country and the most interesting things. It is important for us to include sports to.
The plan is to have most of the workshops outdoors, so people would be more playfull and more connected as a group (no TV, internet, etc. ). We believe that it calms people when they are surrounded by nature. It also gives us a wider space to plan and to do workshops that are more interactive and interesting.
It is also important that not only people from Litija, but volunteers also get to know the other countries including Slovenia.

Perfil: As a hosting organization we entitle ourselves that the procedure of choosing the volunteer will be executed precisely, carefully, transparently and freely. We will take our own limitations into consideration and in case of getting more than one application, we will choose only as many candidates, as we can host simultaneously (in our case 2). In the process of searching for appropriate volunteers, we will help ourselves with the following possibilities:
- as a hosting organization we will try to establish contact with sending organizations that can help us find suitable volunteers. It is desired, that the sending organization is also a youth center. This would be a great opportunity for long-term cooperation between organizations. But basically we would like to cooperate with organizations that work through their projects for the youth on cultural, artistic and educational fields,
- the volunteers will establish contact with us by themselves and express interest in cooperation with us,
- we will express interest in hosting volunteers to sending organizations,
- the sending organization will forward information about interested volunteers,
- we will single-handedly search for a volunteer over web pages,
- we will consider recommendations of volunteers, who have already done EVS and recommendations of organizations, which already have experience with EVS.

The criteria of choosing suitable candidates will be based on equality of genders, we will not regard ethnical or religious affiliation, political or sexual orientation. We will also not demand any precedent knowledge, qualifications, specific experience or defined degree of education.
It is however desired, that the volunteer likes working with the young and masters at least the basics of English, for easier communication. Social touch, delight in team work, the desire for new contacts with the young, the desire of gaining experience in the field of carrying out workshops and generally work with the youth are the recommended key personal qualities of a volunteer, since only in this way he will successfully fit in, work and learn something in our organization.

Tarefas: EVS volunteer should prepare workshops that include: learning the language, music, food, presentning things about their country and people. All the things should be from the country that volunteers come from. Working with the team of volunteers from Youth center Litija and other participants on the workshops. Learning things about Slovenia, including the language (at least the basics). Also learning things about the countrys that other volunteers come from.

Condições: Prevention of risks, protection and safety will get special attention in our organization. We will prepare a detailed plan that will contain:
- Explicit rules about work in the organization: The rules of work in the organization are clearly outlined, we will complete them with parts that will stress and distinct the role of the volunteer and present them to him.
- A list of crucial details for the volunteer in case of an accident or illness: We will fully inform the volunteer about his insurance, medical care, important telephone numbers: medical aid (from the health center), firefighters, police, duty apothecary, embassy, … For urgent cases the mentor will be available 24 hours a day.
- Governmental administration for the duration of residing: The volunteer's well-being will also greatly be influenced by the relations of the governmental organs with him. We will escort the volunteer to the town hall, administration unit and other institutions where he can arrange all necessities regarding his residence in the country.
- The consideration of cultural diversity: Cultural diversity can (sometimes) be a big problem. On the other side it is the confrontation with cultural diversity, that is one of the most important experiences in our lives. We will build on positivity which results from interactions of different cultures, since it is our opinion that this is one of the qualities of the European union, which can greatly influence tolerance, fight against racism and better quality of living for all (eu)citizen. Also in case of possible complications, we will still base our actions on this title; we have enough competences and experience for solving such situations. We will help the volunteer to overcome any possible obstacles that he may encounter: religious, alimentary, maybe fashionable, climatic,…
- The presentation of the local environment: The volunteer will be showed around the local environment and it's possibilities entirely. He will be forwarded all necessary details of our organization and institutions, which we cooperate with. As stated early - all crucial telephone numbers and institutions, library, tourist brochures and other material about the local environment and the country of residence in foreign language, the map of the place, with all the important institutions marked, a map of the region and country. We will try to introduce the volunteer to the local environment in such a way, that the cultural shock will be as small as possible or even will not occur at all. We will try to establish a friendly relationship to soften any possible problems that might arise. We will introduce him to the official as well as social environment. We will introduce him to all possible social places and activities. We will mainly focus on the wishes of the volunteer, since different people prefer different interests. The mentor, who will preferably await the volunteer(probably on the train station), will organize and carry out most of those tasks.
- Insurance (insurance policy): the insurance will be determined with standard procedures and with help of the web page - www.europeanbenefits.com/. It will include medical and dental care, assistance, insurance for the case of permanent invalidity, life insurance, insurance for the case of civil responsibility.
- Regular meetings with the mentor: The meetings with the mentor will be held once a week or at agreement. At the meeting the emphasis will be on the valuation of educational objectives and personal wishes, remarks and needs of the volunteer.
- Talking with the volunteer about possible special (also ongoing) needs: This "chapter" will be treated individually, since this is the only way we can assure for the well-being of the volunteer.
- The foreseeing of troubling scenarios in case of accidents, psychiatric, medical and other potential troubles(crisis plan): We are aware, that it can come to extreme unpleasant situations during the stay of the volunteer. For this purpose we will prepare a series of measures, with which we will try to undo the consequences that may occur correspondently. Preventive action will be the topmost priority, like insurances, becoming familiar with the environment, help with building up personal social contacts, suitable accommodations, food, pleasant and relaxed relations,… in cases, if it comes to really radical situations as illness, death or illegal actions, missing, discrimination, psychical problems, sexual harassment - we will introduce competent institutions(police, medical center,…), and consult then about further steps for each individual case. We will acquaint and consult the medical center even before the arrival of the volunteer and gather advice and additional information about the medical scheme of the volunteer.
Problems may also occur on the field of relations. in the organization we will do everything that these will be friendly, relaxed, constructive and into the contentment of both sides. MC Litija has lots of expert skilled workers educated for various situations, if it anyhow still comes to unpleasant conflict. The mentor will always be available as support to the volunteer. Direct contact will always be possible with the mentor, which will be open for discreet conversation, however the volunteer may also consult anybody else, if it is to his liking. If conversations unfortunately do not go as well as estimated, the volunteer can still turn to the national agency
We will not ignore eventual problems, but we will try to undo them as soon as they arise. We will do this in a peaceful manner, without disputes and demonstration of personal overpower. We will talk about problems and solve them constructively. The regular meeting with the mentor will also cover these topics. We will acquaint the volunteer (we also will be conscious of them), with the rights and obligations that everybody is going to respect.
The problem of homesickness can occur. In this context we will approach matters from case to case individually, since successful overcoming of this problem depends solemnly of the character, needs and habits of the "homesick" person. We will use different approaches of solving this problem. Internet is always available(skype,…), maybe someone will feel better if we enable him to get certain food which suits his own habits. However we will especially work on integration into the environment(as noted in early statements), so that the cultural shock and with it also the "homesickness" will be reduced to minimum.

- We will acquaint the volunteer with the plan: Everything early noted will be carefully presented to the volunteer. Let us stress once again that we will build on a friendly and pleasant relationship, with which we want to ensure a positive experience and constructive cooperation for everyone.
- Hosting of volunteers under the age of 18: Because of various reasons, we declare, that we want to host only volunteers that already turned 18.

The description of the volunteer's residence in Litija:
- We will search for an accommodation in a flat; this will probably be a divided residential unit in a residential building in the city of Litija, where he will have a fully equipped kitchen available, bathroom and all corresponding kitchen tools; in this way the volunteer will be completely independent in his free time.
- These residential conditions will allow the volunteer the preparation of his own food, we will however recommend various premises in the city and surrounding, dependent on the wishes of the volunteer; in the proximity are also numerous shopping malls.
- The work of the volunteers will be going on partly in the morning, but also partly in the afternoon(help with execution of project of MC Litija); we will ensure the volunteer time to rest between work and work-free days according to the current legislation and EVS rules,
- Possible problems, which the volunteer may encounter during organization of residence and work, will be treated with the help of the mentor. We will ensure a mentor, who has experience with studying and working abroad. In this way the competences of the mentor in cooperation with the volunteer will be much better, since the mentor may identify the current problems as problems he may have encountered during his time abroad, and therefore will know how to solve them.

Formação: The volunteers will have the possibility to use their own ideas for projects, organizing and executing them, which will improve their leadership and organizational skills. They will also learn several communication skills through work with youths and improve their knowledge of the Slovene language.
