Resumo: The Hosting organization is a youth service that provides free, confidential, reliable and accurate information to local young people. It tries to answer certain questions that a youngster may ask themselves in different fields :
 Careers guidance
 Studies and scholarships
 Jobs and training
 General health matters
 Relationships and sexuality
 Rights of young people
 International mobility

Furthermore, the organization works with the local youth in order to propose several events all year long : concerts, summer jobs forum, festivals, conferences, workshops…

Perfil: Age: 18-30
No specific qualification or language level is required. The future volunteer should have a taste for animation and communication with young people. If the volunteer has skills with information and communication technologies (social network, image and sound), this will be a plus, but will not be a selection criterion. It will have to want to be fully involved in the proposed activities. The volunteer will be selected on his/her motivations to participate and get involved in Pijs projects. A bike to move in the community of Guichen and additional transport allowance will be provided.

Tarefas: The volunteer will be integrated into the various missions of the Youth Information Service:
Hosting the local youngsters in the Youth Information Service, accompanying the youth workers in their daily tasks, participating in local working meetings, implementing locals youth events, etc.
Above all the mission, the volunteer will develop activities related to international mobility :

1) Facilitating information workshops on international mobility: how to prepare for a departure abroad, presentation of the European Union’s mechanisms, discovery of Europe and its country. In the Youth Information Centre there are all the tools and resources to talk about mobility abroad.

2) Support the follow-up of youngters who have lived international experiences : and restitution of youngster who have lived international experiences : photo expositions, creation of videos, conferences, language tamdem…

3) Personal project: The volunteer will be able to propose and implement other projects according to the opportunities, context, hobbies and skills. As part of a personal project, he or she will have the opportunity to set up a project in connection with the international mobility and the other volunteers hosted.

Horário: 9.30-12.30 Workshops at a school
12.30-13.30 Lunch
14.00-16.00 Participating in partner meeting // Creation of a workshop
16.00-18.30 Working on a personal project // Creating content social medias

Sometimes the volunteer will spend all day answering emails, working on PC, participating in working meetings, or just talking to colleagues. Other days can be really active, in school or talking to youngsters outside. The volunteer must be source of proposals!

Besides, you will be also able to participate in projects held by other colleagues and services (youth areas, family animation, libraries, etc). The volunteering mission is not limited only to the activities.
