Resumo: The leisure center situated in the center in the middle of a large park. It has several departments with different focus (painting, science, drama, yoga, computer science etc.). The volunteer will work in the Department of Arts: painting and ceramics.
This department holds regular academic painting workshops for children around the age of 2-18 as well as for adults. It organizes weekend courses, works with handicapped children and children with poor social background. Apart from that, it holds exhibitions in two galleries. These are offered mostly to schools and young artists.
Perfil: Age. 18-30
we are looking for an art skilled volunteer that would work mainly with children in drawing, painting, graphic and ceramic classes. We expect the volunteer to help us with various art workshops and also to be involved in organizing summer camps for children. Attending occasional art sessions outside of the town will be a part of the volunteer´s work too.
We prefer a volunteer who generally likes to work with small children as well as with teenagers and has a positive attitude towards arts.
Tarefas: 35 hours weekly:
25 hours of work for the leisure center (art activities, educational programs for schools, help with planning and organizing public events etc.)
5 hours of preparation and meeting with coordinator and other volunteers hosted or coordinated
5 hours for volunteers common/personal project
We offer to our volunteers the following kind of support. One of our workers will be your tutor – a guide and adviser who will help you during the whole project. You will be also provided with all the material of a particular workplace.
