Resumo: The library is a place full of books and creative people. It is a hive of activity and a great place for the local community to meet, learn new things and have the use of many facilities. The biggest part of our cultural activities are connected with literary meetings and author’s meetings, which aim is to promote reading. The library is also responsible for organizing various types of cultural events: literary escape rooms, city games, exhibitions, a library on the beach, music concerts, children's theatres, language classes and many, many more. The library is staffed by young, creative people who want to act for the benefit of the local community and the development of culture.

WHAT WE DO IN THE LIBRARY?
The library implements interdisciplinary activities connected with literature, music, visual arts and multimedia, arising from the needs of the local community. Our cultural offer is directed to all social and age groups. Users of our libraries are mostly children and young people, families and older people.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The volunteer will work mainly in the Culture Station. Culture Station is the main library and a modern cultural center. Its unique design and functionality were appreciated by the jury of the international competition Library Interior Design Awards awarding the first prize in the category of singlespaced libraries.
Most of the cultural and educational events are held here.
Cooperation with associations and hobby groups broadens the scope of our activities. We systematically organize
meetings with writers, travelers and other interesting people, music concerts, theater performances for adults and children.
We organize conferences, workshops (theater, philosophy, photography, dance), library lessons, reading, performance.
The main tasks of the volunteer will be connected with: working with children and helping to librarian or instructor with leading different games, art theater or workshops aimed at them, helping in organizing different events held in the Library mentioned above, helping with promotion of all the activities,
Attending and active work with the readers and users of thelibrary : lending, recommending, etc.
All types of work related with the book itself : describing, mending and preparing reading novelties for borrowing.
- In addition to this the volunteer will also have the possibility to realize his/her own ideas and promote their own culture, history and language.
