Resumo: The school was created and is run by parents and teachers who wanted to introduce alternative methods to education. It focuses on working with kids also with unusual needs, e.g. with diseases such as children's sight impairment and other health problems.

The school strives to create unique conditions for learning and development: close relationships, innovative alternative teaching methods are our motto. It is a small institution (160 students) for children from the 1st to the 8th grade (6-15 years), where we work on relationships between younger and older children,children and teachers,as well as a triangle of relationships between teachers, children and parents.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The school is run as part of an NGO, which is of great importance because apart from the framework program, the teacher and parents join in all the extra classes. Parents share their passions and professional experience after lessons as part of their faculties. Teachers often (as well as parents) join in by conducting additional classes and taking part in various actions (social campaigns, charity campaigns, school events). Children with sight impairments are covered by typhlological care, help in educational struggles and supporting visual-auditory coordination. However, these children still need extra time devoted to them, supporting them, playing together and integrating. Therefore, we have a lot of extracurricular activities, like volunteering club, meetings with "interesting people", intercultural education workshops etc. Volunteers will work mainly as the assitance of the school's pedagoge who organizes activities/ workshop supporting mental development and learning effectiveness of the children and the assistance of the workers of the school's common room activities, where children come after the classes to make
homeworks, play in a safe environment and take part in extracurricular activties. Volunteer will help in organizing and running workshops and activities run in those two spheres as well as propose activities and workshops of own idea. Part of the volunteer's work will also be a support to the child with extra needs during
the extracurricular activities.

The examples of the topics of the activities are:
civic education, combined with philanthropic activities for the benefit of the local community, civic education regarding climate change, learning empathy, dialogue, tolerance, multimedia education, handycrafts or other arts,
intercultural education; country presentation, etc.
