Resumo: Impara Association, a transformative Educational Community, works in the active teaching methods field, supporting social transformation from the personal and collective perspectives, through active, experiential and comprenhensive methodologies.
Among our goals, there is the need to encourage, reinforce and consolidate a transformative and alternative education; to support training in active teaching methods and its applicability in educational centers; to perform educational, informational, awarness and promotion of the active teaching methods activities in a wide range of domains: education, culture, health, therapies, environment, social and political organization, new technologies, leisure and free time, with different people and collectives (children, teenagers, undergraduates, parents, teachers, associations, groups, etc.).
Currently, we are handling the pedagogical managment of the "Candil" Free Space, in Badajoz city, which is focused on children between 0 and 6 years old. Our main focus is neuroeducation: prepped spaces, emotional education, values, creation, artistic expression and technologies. We are using active teaching methods, like Montessori, Reggio Emilia, servicelearning, Waldorf, Aucontourier, etc. We work close together with families, since Candil is a self-managed space in which we seek to build a community.
We also offer workshops for parents, children and teachers in different educational centers in the Extremadura area, like school library, pleasure dances, conflict resolution and limits, Montessory at home, coeducation, and equalty among others.
In collaboration with the Extremadura University we are driving university training related to neuroeducation and active teaching methods.
