Resumo: The foundation was created to support the youth work in the Region and develop various projects connected to human rights, promotion of tolerance, voluntary service, support of local democracy, spreading information about programmes and possibilities for the development of youth and adults. One of the main aims is working on the civic attitudes of young people.
The foundation is a regional organization that focuses on international work with young people, including youth exchanges, voluntary service and youth initiatives. We also cooperate with South Eastern Europe and EECA countries.
The main aims of the Foundation are:
- to promote international co-operation and understanding between young people from different countries and different cultures,
- to provide young people with the opportunity to gain international experience for their personal and professional development,
- making young people aware of their cultural heritage, as the base of their awareness,
- to develop regional, national and European consciousness of young people,
- promotion of volunteering- local and international, as a way towards active citizenship,
- promoting of international co-operation and understanding among young people from different countries and cultures,
- to support interest of young people in historical and political reality in Europe,
- to encourage involvement of young people in cultural initiatives,
- to promote Poland and the Opole region in Europe.
Target groups – mainly youth, but also children, seniors, support workers (teachers, youth workers, etc)
The main profiles of our Association are:
- international youth exchanges, e.g. artistic and educational workshops,
- voluntary service - national and international field,
- international internships,
- cultural events,
- civil and democracy education - cooperation with youth councils in the region,
- conferences, trainings and seminars for young leaders and youth workers.
Perfil: Age:18-30
Tarefas: The project aims to: promoting and making community-building, solidarity and European identity a reality; realization and strengthening of awareness of human rights, citizens and the European community; education in the field of multiculturalism and respect for fundamental values such as: acceptance, tolerance, local responsibility among young people and citizens from the program countries.
The project involves hosting four volunteers and jointly implementing a number of activities for local activity, civic education, promotion of multiculturalism and understanding and acceptance of individual cultures. In the volunteering program, participants will plan, prepare and carry out workshops aimed directly at school youth and students, as part of educational programs implemented by the Foundation. Indirectly, their initiatives will also shape the intergenerational local community.
