Resumo: (elderly people)
The Windmill Foundation is one of the biggest non-governmental organizations in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie region. Windmill helps people from Fordon district: children, unemployed people, disabled people, seniors and others who need help. The Windmill invites people to take part in concerts, competitions, festivities and meetings with famous people. In 2004 Wiatrak started international co-operation offering meetings, European Voluntary Service, workshops, trainings and youth exchanges.

In January 2007 Foundation adopted the Workshop Therapy Center (WTZ) for young disabled people. The aim of these workshops is to prepare the participants for a possible independent life; to support and develop new skills, to create attitudes which enable their life to be active in our society. WTZ offers activities such as wood-work, artistic activities, sewing, gardening, handcrafts etc. for disabled people.

The foundation organizes summer and winter camps. For children who can not afford leaving Bydgoszcz we provide holiday activities in our organization. Many children participate in these activities.

During the school year we organize programs for children and youth who need help. The activities include helping with their homework, and playing with them. We also organize meetings for disabled young people where they learn how to menage in daily life. Apart from that, volunteers organize integration and education meetings for seniors from UTA (University of the Third Age).

Most employees of the Foundation are able to speak English and will help the volunteers. Some of them have already taken part in international exchanges. EVS coordinators work in the Windmill. We also employ several former volunteers who speak English, Russian, Polish, Spanish, Italian and Georgian.

There is also a Bulgarian, former volunteer, who came back to do his Erasmus Internship in the Windmill Foundation. They can help the volunteers during their stay. The students' association and many Erasmus Student Networks co-operate closely with the foundation. The Foundation is a good place to get to know many young Poles, also because of the fact some of the students are volunteers in our foundation and many of them speak foreign languages.
