Resumo: We are a Kindergarten which belongs to a catholic church. We look after children from 6 month to 6 years. We are open: from 7 a.m. till 4:30 p.m. There are up to 75 children who are looked after around 10 employees. We are an institution of the Catholic Church and Christian aspects are important for the education of children. We respect the special features of each child and help every child to develop oneself according to its individual needs.
The children can decide by themselves which activities they want to do and what projects they are particularly interested.
The kindergarten is located in the center of a small town. There are also planned many trips for example to the library or the surrounding countryside.

Perfil: We are looking for a volunteer (18-30 years old) who is motivated to take part in the Project. Knowledge of German language will be an advantage

Tarefas: The volunteers should bring to the institution her different skills, abilities, interests, personality. She should gather various experience and be aware of her pedagogical skills. She should learn to be aware of her talents and to propose specific offers to the children.
Also she will have a chance to have contact with children of different ages and if they want, she can work with different age groups. The volunteer is part of the team, who will take part in the meetings, planning, evaluations and team trainings.
The own initiative, proposals of the activities are wished and will be supported. The activities in which the volunteer is involved: speaking with the children, playing with the children indoor, morning gathering, games in garden (with balls, role games, playing in the sandbox), excursions, days in the forest, home economics tasks (order in the group room, garderobe), taking part in the planning meetings, team meetings, specific activities (handicrafts, singing, gymnastics).

Condições: The volunteer will live in the beautiful city. Further the volunteer will receive accomodation in a room in the volunteer flat with single room, shared kitchen and bathroom with two other volunteers.
The volunteer will receive a German language course (once a week). The volunteer will be picked up by the mentor at the train station . Also the volunteer gets a Bahncard 25 to get reduced tickets for train transportation in whole Germany
