Resumo: The Youth Care Centre promotes the development of the young people to become socialy competent persons, capable in self-determined actions, encouraging social responsibilities and social involvement, contributing to avoid and reduce discrimination. Due to the connection of the needs and the interests of youth, the youth work is very important in the learning and development field of young people.

Since October 2003 the Youth Care Centre is active in the field of municipial youth work with its own staff. The offer of the municipial youth care is various and rich with workshops on Holiday Care with its own program, to an open Youth Club in Youth Centre with fixed opening times.

The Youth Care offers: consultations in Youth Club, youth participation, young citizens meetings, holiday care during summer holidays with its own motto and program, support of the associations, open youth work in Youth Centre, children meetings till sixth class, full-time care in the secondary school.

Examples of actions: open Youth House at the Family Day, fleamarket and info stand, youth games, renovation of the Youth House, painting action for the fruit and garden organisation, Halloween Party, Christmas Party, Carnival Disco, street painting action.

Opening time: Youth Club Monday till Friday 17:00 - 20:00, Children Club Friday 14:00 - 17:00.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: We are looking for a volunteer interested in youth work and animation for children. The volunteer will work in the school with children and in the afternoon in a youth centre.
