Resumo: (work with kids)
The Association is a large and experienced NGO, a well-known in a region Lower Silesia, operating for the benefit of children and adults with disabilities, employing over 150 people and providing services to over 1,500 people from Lower Silesia, but above all concentrating to help people with disabilities inhabitants of the Milicz and surrounding poviats.

In addition to traditional forms of therapy, facilities operating under MSPDiON expand their offer by, among others, music therapy, dog therapy and hippotherapy, and their offer is constantly expanding. Thanks to the functioning of the association , the perception of therapy among disabled and healthy(their families) people has changed.

Over 22 years of activity of the Association in the manner significantly affected the image of a disabled person in the local community.

Among others thanks to the Association's activity, our city and its institutions have become more friendly to people with disabilities or even more widely perceived as others. Since 2012, the association is an accredited EVS organization as part of the Youth in Action program and now Erasmus + program.

Over the years, the philosophy of MSPDiON has also evolved. The effect of this state of affairs is to go beyond the rigid framework of widely understood therapy until recently.

Today, the association not only provides therapy conducted in surgeries by a multitude of specialists, but also makes sure that the lives of people with disabilities can be varied, making them as worthy and happy as possible. Hence, among others participation in supported employment programs financed by PFRON, running a training flat, which in the future will give opportunities for independent living in protected housing, hence the implementation of a series of so-called green projects, thanks to which people with disabilities draw on the resources of local nature and support it through the organization of various ecological actions.

From here, finally, participate in sports events.

The association currently has 95 active members, of whom the management board is elected once every three years during the General Election Meeting. The president of the currently functioning board is Alicja Szatkowska. The following branches operate within the structures of the Association:
1.Rehabilitation and Education Center, and in it: 2. Non-public Health Care Center, within which there are: Early Intervention Center, Physiotherapist Outpatient Clinic, Rehabilitation Counseling

6. Renewal and educational team (5 departments)
7. Preparation for work (2 departments)
8. Workshops of Occupational Therapy
9. Environmental Home of Self-Help
10. Training apartment

15. Dog Therapy Studio
16. Music theraphy studio.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Be motivated and dedicated to work.
Speak communicative English.
Be proactive.
Open-mindedness, responsibility and sense of humor are also essential. For this specific project, taking into account it'seducational nature, volunteers should feel comfortable in working with children/teenagers and adults, as well as teaching themusing non-formal methods.

Tarefas: VOLUNTEER DEVELOPMENT:
Getting experience in working with

Be familiar with Polish education system and teaching methods in kindergarten and schools
Presentation skills
Management and marketing skills, while preparing events
Develop facilitation skills by preparing and conducting workshops, classes and courses.
Improving your language skill - English, learn Polish, teach your mother tongue.
Basics of graphic design, video editing, using social media.
Gain higher level of confidence and self-esteem
Getting to know many places in Poland.
Having a portfolio of workshops that you can use after the project.
Knowledge of non-formal education methods.
Working experience in an intercultural environment.
Participating in various trainings and workshops.
All of your learning outcomes will be summarized in the Youthpass certificate

VOLUNTEER IMPACT :
Helping children and teachers with foreign languages.
Shaping local society towards being more open, tolerant and aware of the fact that there are people that are different from us.
Showing teachers new methods of teaching.
Heping students to achieve their goals, motivate them to setting higher goals and giving them the skills and knowledge to do so.
At the end of the project, you will have a new set of skills that you can use to work with your local community after EVS.
