Resumo: The hosting organization is a non-profit territorial association situated in Italy, which purposes are:
•promoting knowledge of the area in its various forms (historical, artistic, literary, architectural, gastronomic);
•helping to develop a healthy, positive form of tourism;
•promote educational activities, in order to develop the local culture for youth and adults.
The association’s main project a summer school about the restoration of traditional stone houses that aims to:
•Address the abandonment and degradation of the region.
•Transmit indispensable knowledge and building techniques related to stone constructions, before it is lost.
•Raise awareness that the heritage our forefathers have left us, everywhere in the world, should be protected
and defended.

Perfil: • You are between 18 and 30 years old.
• You are interested in the activities as proposed above and learning more about non-formal education.
• You are open to new experiences and want to meet new people from different countries.
• You are motivated to do tasks and activities planned, regardless of your previous experience
• You are highly motivated to explore a new culture and to live as a local.
• You want to change something in your life, step outside of your comfort zone and be inspired by other
people you meet.
• You are ready to share your experience and learn from others.

Tarefas: This is a project which aims to actively contribute to the preservation of the built landscape and the economic development of the area through a series of training workshops, through local tourism development and implementation of social promotion strategies. It is a project of continuous and concrete exchange that provides the possibility of creating new development perspectives.

Together we will work on developing a strategy ti promote our activities and implement what is planned
• Developing tourist services in the village
• Supporting the organization of educational workshops in 2 different locations
• Welcome new incoming students
• Planning and managing special events to promote the knowledge of the association's activities in the territory.
• Helping to restore old trekking paths,
• Helping to manage the tourist office,
• Help with the logistics of course implementation,
• Creating graphic works to promote the activities of the .

Beside the specific tasks listed ab ve, the volunteers will take turns to help with the daily chores:

• Cleaning the common spaces of the location during the courses,
• Supporting in getting the tables and washing the dishes,
• Operating the disposal of the garbage focusing on recycling,
• Documenting the school’s activities with pictures, videos, and filing all the material.
• The volunteers may be involved in other projects run by the Association, such as the Hostel, the Maintenance of the Trails, outdoor movie projections, and special events involving the local population
• The organization is involved also with a network of other local NGOs

Horário: The volunteers will be involved in the Association activities for five days a week, for a maximum of 35weekly
hours.
Example of a weekly schedule:
Wednesday: Helping with building site logistics; documenting the activities. (helping with the chores/Italian lesson)

Thursday: Helping with the organisation of the workshops; planning events. (helping with the chores/Italian
lesson)

Friday: Creating graphic works to promote the school’s activities; Event night (helping with the chores/Italian
lesson)

Saturday: Implementation of the event

Sunday: Helping managing the school’s hostel and cafeteria; welcoming new coming students (helping with the
chores/Italian lesson

*Two days a week are off. The schedule may change according with the necessities on the site.

Condições: Accommodation and transport will be provided by the association.
For transport a car will be provided with a small monthly budget for fuel.
During all 6 months the volunteers will receive 5€/day as pocket money.
Food will be provided during the organised courses and in case the volunteer is out of the activities he/she will
receive a reimbursement of 6€/day as food allowance, according to the rules of the European Solidarity Corps.
The accommodation will be mainly at the Castle, but it can also vary with Cascina
depending on the activities carried out by the association.
