Resumo: Oru kindergartem was founded in 1984. It is located in a village. There are 6 groups in a kindergarten with children of 1,5 – 7 years old.
Children are provided with an engaging and stimulating education following the Estonian National Pre-school Curriculum where children are helped to develop a wide range of skills and give them the best preparation for school. The values promoted in the kindergarten are cooperation, friendliness, openness, caring for others and honesty. The activities are carried out in Estonian language.
Besides regular activities, children can participate in different activities such as judo, yoga and singing. Different Estonian traditions as Christmas, Estonian Independence day, Mardipäev etc are valued and celebrated. Kindergarten has joined the Health Promoting Kindergarten network in Estonia and is holding a Heart week every spring with different types of activities to promote healthy lifestyle (e.g. bike trips, sports games, eating out etc).
