Resumo: (CULTURAL EVENTS ANDMULTICULTURALISM)
The hosting organization is a Greek non-profit civil partnership that is inspired by the principals of
mutual respect and care for the civil society, environmental integrity, social and financial justice, democracy, nonviolence and peace.

Aims:
Creation of social structures based on the ideas of solidarity and equality;
Fostering inspiration for natural farming and permaculture design with respect on natural environment, biodiversity, sustainability;
Consumer awareness through creative alternatives and volunteering activities that aim solidarity, sustainability both in individual and social aspect, nonviolence and environmental respect; Endorsement and support of experiential learning following the principles of sustainability, bio-natural agriculture, permaculture;
Training, support, management of nontypical learning training programs;
Promotion of intangible cultural heritage and cultural events;
Encouragement of ideas for alternative pedagogies for children and youth. To realize our aims we are maintaining an eco-friendly guesthouse where young people from all over Europe are meeting. We work our farmland with permaculture and natural farming techniques while increasing biodiversity. We organize seminars, workshops, exhibitions, festivals, and exploration tours. And we are operating as an information & awareness center in our village to inform locals about environmental issues, good eco practices, European opportunities, as well as interculturalism.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Interest in solidarity activities, workingon information channels, sustainabilityand the organisation of events.
The volunteer should be aware ofsustainable practices & natureconservation, with a pro-active, openmind inspired by creative thinking.

Tarefas: For this activity we are looking for a volunteer to help us arrange an intercultural event during the summer of 2021 in our area! (For now the plan is to implement the event online, and prepare an actual event either in autumn 2021 or summer 2022)

Meanwhile, during the year we are planning to organize seminars and workshops about music and fine arts, that local children and youth will be able to attend occasionally. Which means that if the volunteer has a passion for arts & music, he will be perfect for thevoluntary position.

Local cultural events that empower cultural identity such as a music festival during the summertime on the beach is an intention that we will strongly try for as well. We will invite world music bands and we will organize a music event to welcome the summer of2021! (For now the plan is to implement the event online, and organise an actual event either in autumn 2021 or summer 2022)

Organizing and planning will be in team spirit and the result will be a mixture of initiatives and implementation of all of us.

Accommodation and meals will be organized from us as well. The fiesta will be open andwe will empower local participation as well.

By organizing a music concert we satisfy our aim for intercultural interaction, for ourparticipants and the local community, we increase tolerance to different cultures and weincrease the sense of global unity via music.

This activity is also the organization’s take on combating discrimination.

Condições: The program is funded and supported bythe European Comission which means thatbasic expenses are covered by thehosting organisation ( local transportation,food, pocket money). Travelling refundsare subject to Erasmus+ and the budget'sapproval.
Volunteers will receive on a monthly basis:150€ pocket money and extra100€ allowance for food.
