Resumo: (PERMACULTURE DESIGN)
The hosting organization is a Greek non-profit civil partnership that is inspired by the principals of
mutual respect and care for the civil society, environmental integrity, social and financial justice, democracy, nonviolence and peace.

Aims:
Creation of social structures based on the ideas of solidarity and equality;
Fostering inspiration for natural farming and permaculture design with respect on natural environment, biodiversity, sustainability;
Consumer awareness through creative alternatives and volunteering activities that aim solidarity, sustainability both in individual and social aspect, nonviolence and environmental respect; Endorsement and support of experiential learning following the principles of sustainability, bio-natural agriculture, permaculture;
Training, support, management of nontypical learning training programs;
Promotion of intangible cultural heritage and cultural events;
Encouragement of ideas for alternative pedagogies for children and youth. To realize our aims we are maintaining an eco-friendly guesthouse where young people from all over Europe are meeting. We work our farmland with permaculture and natural farming techniques while increasing biodiversity. We organize seminars, workshops, exhibitions, festivals, and exploration tours. And we are operating as an information & awareness center in our village to inform locals about environmental issues, good eco practices, European opportunities, as well as interculturalism.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Interest in solidarity activities, workingon information channels, sustainabilityand the organisation of events.
The volunteer should be aware ofsustainable practices & natureconservation, with a pro-active, openmind inspired by creative thinking.

Tarefas: We aim to transform our olive tree monoculture into a polyculture field. Enriching the biodiversity with fruit trees, herbs and bee friendly plants in order to help making it productive all along the year. The bees will have more to feed from and go on with their pollination. Animals are also meant to complete the biodiversity, such as chickens, rabbits and goats.

Our volunteers will have an opportunity to participate in a complete process of permaculture designs, while they will learn through experience and observation about the circle of life of various species.

It is good to be aware of the fact that this position requires a lot of work on the garden - every crop has its own time of planting and collecting, and the schedule will need to be followed. So make sure you are ready to get your hands dirty! This position will be suiting for nature and gardening lowers, that enjoy to spend the time outdoors, learn new tricks from our knowledgable supervisor. This role is a perfect match for you if you are handy and crafty, full of ideas (that are highly appreciated), and are not afraid of experimenting
and improvising.

Solidarity consists of sharing knowledge while implementing the guidelines of natural farming or permaculture practices. We strive to grow a balanced environment in order to have a positive effect on the local society, especially the young people growing in the area together with those reaching out for a change.

Besides that, not only will the volunteers work on the farm but also in the field of sustainable domestic design; for example small constructions with organic or recycled materials; recycling waste water or making new plantations.

Condições: The program is funded and supported bythe European Comission which means thatbasic expenses are covered by thehosting organisation ( local transportation,food, pocket money). Travelling refundsare subject to Erasmus+ and the budget'sapproval.
Volunteers will receive on a monthly basis:150€ pocket money and extra100€ allowance for food.
