Resumo: Caritas Diocesana is a official organization with charitable action and social promotion from Church in the Bishopric.
Caritas is one of the 32 teams that constitute this organization from the beginnings.
Caritas aims are:
- Promote and coordinate social movement of the Church in all the territory of diocese and poor places as well through co-development and international cooperation.
- Help to human promotion and the comprehensive development of all people, especially under deprived people. The programs carry out for the entity are:
- service shelter: a professional team help families with risk social exclusion facilitating basic life conditions and it is done a monitoring. It is complemented with service food, drugs, educational material, clothes, student books, home articles, emergency home supplies,etc.
- Social Dinning room.
- CLARA Project and DIA DIA Project. Both are a psychosocial supporting to woman with risk social exclusion with psychical problems of stress, anxiety. Frequently they take loads of family responsibilities on.
- Furniture and clothes second hand shops.
- Dressmaking workshop. Making fancy dresses for the local party
- Project " We are thinking with you". It is a supporting, training and accompaniment program of volunteers. - Shelter for homeless and temporary residents.
- Awareness campaign, twice in a year.
- International cooperation: awareness and get funds for international emergencies.

Profile of people who deal with volunteers: The people who attend the service are women (mothers with dependents) with different problems (drug addiction, abuse, husbands in prison, etc.) of these women, 50% are gypsy ethnic group.

Moreover, there is a significant percentage of older people who can not afford to spend the end of the month (widows, elderly women) and young teen mothers aged 15-16. In the dinning room we attend the elderly (majority men) with few resources, and specific cases of young and / or couples who are going through a critical time in their families most with health problems. In the shelter house there are people from different nationalities but also we attend national.95% are men.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
