Resumo: The organization is an umbrella network of 22 national organisations working in 12 European countries and who are expert on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). End FGM EU operates as a meeting ground for communities, civil society organisations, decision-makers and other relevant actors at European level to interact, cooperate and join forces to end all forms of FGM in Europe and beyond. We put at the heart of our work grassroots voices to influence European governments and policy-makers to work towards the elimination of FGM. We build our members’ capacity, offer spaces to share expertise and develop partnerships. While being dedicated to being the driving force of the European movement to end FGM, we are equally committed to build bridges and cooperation with all relevant actors in the field of FGM both in Europe and globally. In this sense, we actively promote and foster cooperation between the European movement and movements in other regions of the world.

Perfil: • Young volunteer between 18 and 30 living in Europe and coming from an FGM-affected community
• Good English language skills, both oral and written, French is an asset
• Knowledge of or interest in gender equality and gender-based violence issues
• Willingness to engage in productive and challenging work
• Ability to focus well under deadlines
• Understanding of debates on female genital mutilation (FGM), violence against women and gender issues

Tarefas: The purpose of this position is to assist the organization to highlight and promote the work of community members in ending FGM and supporting survivors. Mapping communities against FGM:
• Desk review of the current data on grassroots communities’ work in Europe.
• Promoting the work of community-based organisations against FGM based in Europe.
• Developing online content promoting the work of community-based organisations. Programmes against FGM and GBV:
• Support the implementation of the Network’s programmes.
• Support in drafting reports and other documents.
• Assist with the Youth Ambassadors and Ambassadors programmes.
Meetings and events:
• Contribute to the planning of Network events, meetings and trainings.
• Support the organisation of the Annual General Assembly and the annual European Conference.

Condições: • A monthly allowance (food • Travel costs to Brussels (a lump sum depending on the distance to Brussels) • Monthly pocket money
