Resumo: Mladiinfo Slovensko was established by former EVS volunteers in 2010 in Bratislava, Slovakia. It is a well established non-profit organization promoting education and youth mobility. Mladiinfo supports young people with information about EU programs, internships, trainings, conferences, volunteering and other opportunities abroad but also in Slovakia. Internet is used as the main tool to spread calls, successful stories and motivate for participation (website www.mladiinfo.sk and social media channels). Mladiinfo office is located in Bratislava Mlynska dolina, which is the largest complex of student dormitories in Slovakia with almost 10 000 students. With international partners all around Europe Mladiinfo Slovensko is experienced and active in Erasmus+ and EVS projects and belongs to the most active EVS sending organizations in Slovakia. Mladiinfo Slovensko is a branch of Mladiinfo International – a registered network with the seat in Skopje, and a member of EURODESK Slovakia.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: Indoor activities:
- leading creative activities for children aged 6 to 12 (with paper, scissors, glue, etc.)
- stimulating and motivating children to speak English
- actively attending to children: stimulating and motivating them to participate in activities, communicating actively with children, offering assistance, helping out with homework, playing board games, etc.)
- supervising and coordinating children during meal times, changing clothes, transport, play time, etc.
- leading afternoon workshops (pottery; lego robotics; arts and crafts, music, etc. – depending on the preferences of the volunteer and organisation’s needs)
- helping out with preparation of educational materials, room decorations, keeping rooms tidy (paper cutting, card sorting, materials cleaning, etc.)

Outdoor activities:
- leading and playing sports and outdoor activities on the playground/in the park
- supervising and coordinating children during transport (to lunch, to playground, to trips, etc.) and play time (on the playground, in the park, etc.)

Early morning creative activities – the purpose is to motivate children for being creative and to develop their fine motor skills. A volunteer prepares and leads paper folding activity: origami, drawing, gluing paper, folding cubes, cutting, etc. At the same time the volunteer motivates the children to communicate in English and to develop their English vocabulary.

Morning teaching process – a volunteer is in a role of a teaching assistant: he/she motivates the children that need extra stimulation for their learning, helps out the teacher with correcting the work, preparing teaching materials, etc.

Meal time supervision, Changing clothes supervision – a volunteer is responsible for safety and appropriate behaviour of children and cleanliness of the space.

Afternoon activities – a volunteer arranges and leads some free time activities; accompanies children and motivates them to do sports activities at the playground; motivates children to be active during workshops; helps children with their homework.

We would like to provide an opportunity for every volunteer to embrace his/her strenghts and own abilities. A volunteer will have the opportunities to observe and participate in the unique excellent education process, where he/she can participate and develop their teaching skills. We are flexible and offer a space for creativity of the volunteer - volunteers are welcome to come up with their own projects that can be led during the afternoon free time. The skills that the volunteers will develop include learning how to plan, organise and lead activities; how to manage and motivate children; how to develop his/her creative skills, communication skills – all under supervision of experienced education experts willing to share good practice skills.
