Resumo: The hosting organization is a non-profit organization founded in 2017.
We operate in sectors of high social relevance, thanks to European planning and the development of innovative and often self-financed non-formal education paths. We believe it is important to commit our time and energy to the local community in order to develop it, but at the same time improve the European citizenship.
To achieve our goal it was necessary to create a network of partners at the local level (associations, schools, universities, the Municipality) and internationally (associations, municipalities, universities), as well as accumulating experience by organizing and taking part in numerous and differentiated projects. , events and individual training, also through the Erasmus + program.

Perfil: The main qualities that we will look for in the volunteers are creativity, independence and sense of initiative, but also the enthusiasm for the activities proposed. In general, the volunteers that we wish to host are highly motivated to develop themselves personally and professionally and show initiative do develop their own personal project, contributing to the management of the project itself. Our volunteers can be youngsters from different backgrounds, social classes and education level. The group of 2 volunteers will be composed by a girl and a guy.
Age: 18-30

Tarefas: This project will help the volunteers and young people in Messina to improve their personal development and involvement in society, in particular:
a) Languages, improved knowledge of English and Italian;
b) Awareness of other cultures, and of the European values;
c) Widen the comfort zone of the volunteers and make it easier for them to travel and live or work in other countries;
d) Increased habit to intercultural dialogue and critical thinking;
e) Sense of initiative and empowerment will be developed by implementing volunteers’ own project and activities according to their interests;
f) Media literacy, managing a blog, social media pages and learning about content creation;
g) Acquisition of transversal skills (workshop preparation and management, blogging, facilitating etc.) which will enhance employability and active participation in society after the project ends; h) Motivation in taking part and organizing Erasmus+ and international projects.

Condições: The accommodation of the volunteers will be an apartment in the city center of Messina, which has been recently renovated with design criteria. The apartment is fully furnished and covered with Wi-Fi connection. Volunteers will be provided with food weekly according to their needs and preferences. Volunteers will be able to move with city transport and will be given with a pocket money of 150 euros per month. The trip from and to the country of residence will be paid by the hosting organization up to 275 euros.
