Resumo: The hosting organization is a unit of the national Czech Scout organisation. The Mission of the Centre is to enable children and youth to gain first-hand experience of the natural world.

School groups which come for programmes are mostly secondary schools, but there are many primary schools coming as well. Apart from them, we provide programmes for young adults too, especially for summer camps. The capacity of the centre is about 70 beds, two classrooms can come at the same time, and almost 200 people at campsites. The centre provides environmental education programmes focused on exploring animal and plant species and the relationships between them and the environment, such as ecology in field. Most of the programmes take place out of the classroom, such as identyfing species and measuring different characteristics of nature. We help the students to understand natural principles better through field studies, research and project education. The newly renovated building itself serves as an example of eco-friendly technologies and programmes focused on technologies include experimentation. Then the students can draft their own exampe of an eco-friendly house.

Apart from that we provide outdoor programmes, abseiling, caving and aquazorbing. The centre is also a centre of nature conservation activities in the southern part of the Protected Landscape Area working in close cooperation with the authorities and other NGOs. In 2014 the centre became the first Scout Centre of Excellence for Nature and Environment (SCENES centre) in the postcommunist Europe. It also actively contributes to formation of World Scout Environmental Programme and takes part in non-formal education of scout and non-scout leaders at national level. We accept volunteers from all around the world, mostly Europe, and send people to volunteer abroad too as we have already developed a long-term cooperation with many partner organizations.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
In accordance with the mission of the Centre we prefer volunteers who are interested in nature conservation, environmental education, sustainable technologies and leisure time activities for kids and youth. We consider the ESC project as a way to share our knowledge. That is why open-mindness, willingness to learn new things and discipline are the qualities we are asking for.

Tarefas: (environment)
The hosting organization is a scout environmental education centre situated in a landscape protected area. Volunteering at the centre consists of various activities:
- assisting with the environmental education programmes (outdoor ecology for highschool students, outdoor activities, forest kindergarden),
- helping with the operation of the centre (guest-care, cleaning, kitchen, info-shop duties),
- working outside (looking after the garden, nature conservation work, preparing wood for winter, cutting the grass),
- education (Czech lessons, workshops, NGO, environmental projects, conservation),
- your own personal project. Duration of volunteer service for 6 months.

Condições: Accommodation: Volunteers live in a 3-bedroom eco-friendly house (equipped kitchen, common room, 2 bathrooms) situated on a nice place just 50 m from the main lodge.
Food: Since meals for the eco-centre guests are being prepared we can provide catering three times a day for volunteers on most days, we adjust to wide range of dietary needs; volunteers can also cook on their own in the kitchen in their house.
Transport: Volunteers get ticket for public transport, Brno downtown is accessible within 30 minutes. There are bikes which volunteers can use as well.
