Resumo: (heritage conservation)
The hosting organization is a non-profit organization which develops environmental and heritage conservation projects. Since the 1960’s, we organize summer camps to involve people from foreign countries and give them the opportunity to meet, to be useful, to discover our region, to help the preservation of our heritage and the peace between communities! Since the 80’s we develop social inclusion works through the
enhancement of the natural and built heritage, but we are still organizing volunteer camps!

Volunteers’ work consists of the organization, participation and promotion of different summer workcamps.
You will work in a team with other 4 French volunteers for the whole period, supported by your coordinator.
This project aims to raise awareness of natural and built heritage, which also vehicles social connections and to promote interculturality.
The key moment of the project is the welcoming of three teams of European volunteers during the summer period. Through the workcamps, you will make heritage more accessible to young people and to the population, in order to develop an interest to its conservation and to create connections between the cultural diversities of the European communities.

Perfil: Motivated to live an intense experience in terms of activities, encounters and discoveries.
Curious to learn and to meet the others, to live a collective experience.
Active, open minded, dynamic, ready to facilitate the group of volunteers coming from different countries and able to build connections in the group and with the locals. Interest in doing outside work.
Knowledge of basic English and French recommended.
Age: 18-30

Tarefas: You will arrive in Rennes, discover the city and the association, with the other long-term CES volunteer. You will then meet the 2 French volunteers and start the teamwork.

- Organization! Preparing the arrival of the groups of volunteers through the organization of activities for the collective life, the cultural discoveries and the actions of communication with the locals (sensitizing the local
populations in the territories of the missions).
You will split into teams of two, so there will be a team of long-term volunteers for each summer workcamp (2 in total).
Dates: March-May
Place: welcome place

- Participation! Welcoming of the volunteers for an integration week. Then each group will leave to settle in the villages hosting the workcamps. It will be a collective experience: all the volunteers (long and short terms) will live together and take part in the work, the activities,… The renovation works are supervised by a technical animator. The short term volunteers will leave after the summer workcamps !
Dates: June -August
Place: different territories where the workcamps take place.

- Promotion! The team of ESC and French volunteers meet together to add value to the actions carried out during the summer (exhibition, forum, intervention with different publics) according to their desires and interests.
Dates: September- December
place: return to the welcome place

Condições: The volunteer will get food allowance and pocket money each month.
During the whole period of the project, the volunteer will have a single room in a shared house. During the workcamps, the volunteer will live with the group (in tents)
