Resumo: The hosting organization established in 1920 and worldwide represented by its 44 branches and by various partner organisations in all continents.
Our working lines are:
1. Work camps (short-term volunteering). We organise an average of 15 workcamps, welcoming around 300 volunteers from other countries and sending around 350 volunteers to other work camps abroad.
2. Medium and Long Term Voluntary Projects. They are driven from different local organisations worldwide, whether branches or partners, sharing the common philosophy. With an always international focus, the organization manages some of the posts, sending volunteers to other countries and hosting volunteers in ours. Our participation in the European Voluntary Service is part of this line of action.
3. Actions and projects on raising awareness and education. Talks, panel discussions, video-forum or seminars to all audiences.
Topics: sustainable development, post-conflict reconstruction, international action in contexts of war, peace education, origin and causes of violent conflict, North-South relations, experiences of successful international cooperation, etc. The hosting organization maintains a regular programme of training and raising awareness activities that also provides a space for participation by volunteers.
4. International Youth Exchanges. Taking advantage of the international network and its contacts in other countries, every year we organise at least two or three exchanges of youth groups (from 16-18 to 25-27 year old) from at least four different countries.
5. Projects of international cooperation for development. Partnerships with local organisations in countries facing violent conflicts or post-conflict reconstruction in the Mediterranean Region.
6. Local groups of volunteers. Topics: education for social transformation, social inclusion, feminism, climate change, people with disabilities.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
- Fluency in Spanish and English and excellent writing skills.
- Basic knowledge of Catalan is also valued.
- The volunteer will be asked to learn Catalan during her/his stay, as it will be the main language in the office and the activities.
- Other valued skills are: flexibility, responsibility, initiative and the ability of working in a team.
-Previous experience in other branches, workcamps, youth exchanges or international trainings will be also considered.

Tarefas: - Give support to the Volunteers Placement Officers for Incoming and Outgoing volunteers
- Inform local people who want to participate in workcamps
- Inform about other volunteering opportunities, such us Long Term Volunteering (LTV) or ESC
- Take part in the organization of trainings for volunteers that are going abroad
- Participate in local working groups
- During the summer, the volunteers will have the opportunity to directly participate in a local workcamp and other international activities

Condições: Accommodation and Food: the organization will give to the volunteers a monthly sum for food (150 €). The volunteers will share a flat, which aim is to host them and other participants occasionally. However the volunteers will have their own private room.
Pocket money: 150 € per month
Insurance: Cigna insurance covered by the ESC programme.
Visa: Visa costs, if any, will be covered by money of the project.
Schedule: The volunteers are expected to work 6 h / day, 5 days per week, but may be asked to work on weekends for special activities. Free days will be given to compensate
