Resumo: The main goals of the association are:
• To establish and realize policy of leisure time activities for Aluksne children and youth
• To promote and offer possibilities of non-formal education for youngsters.

Perfil: The volunteer we would like to welcome should be opened for new experience and flexible, responsible, ready to live in a small town in peaceful and quite environment, a person who is interested to work with young people. At the same time the volunteer should be willing to learn Latvian for better communication with local people but it is not the priority.

Tarefas: The activities the volunteer will be involved:
•work with fewer opportunity youngster and children in a youth center
•different creative workshop for children and youngster
•daily work in office
•co-working on activities and events created by Aluksne Children and Youth Centre
•organizing free time activities for young people
•participating in preparation of local events (technical and administrative assistance)
•participation in rural activities in Aluksne district
•taking pictures/video of activities events and creating wall-newspaper every month
•organizing at least 2 national evenings where presenting his/her country and it’s culture
•depending on his/her skills creating and leading his own regular workshops. He/she can join local interest groups depending on his/her wishes. All activities we will shape for individual EVS project and volunteer. All these responsibilities will develop new competences of the volunteer like communication skills with different type of people, also in foreign languages, team work, dealing with unexpected situations.

Condições: The living place will be assiged safe by the organizators, it is not dangerous town. Working enviroment is safe by the law of our country.
More detales about responsibilities, tasks, project results, practical things connected to appartments, food etc. will be included and specifyed in activity agreement.
There will be designated mentor for the volunteer inside the organization who will take care of helping the volunteer to adapt to the town, who will introduce him/her to local enviroment, cultural habits, food, local institutions. This person will also introduse the volunteer to responsibilities and tasks inside the organization. The volunteer and mentor togeather will make a working plan for each week which can be edited or changed if needed.
There will be the supportive person for the volunteer eather (might be a person who have experienced EVS in the past). So there will be monthly evaluation process for volunteer's feedback on his/her progress and success of his/her volunteer work and personal life experience in his/her EVS, as well as setting up new aims for the next month organized by the mentor and supportive person. That will provide 3 points of view from the volunteer, hosting organization and not involved person.
The working and living plan will be made depending on his/her abilities and working habits and employees of the Aluksne Children and Youth Centre.
Volunteer's mentor and supportive person will link the possible difficulties and problems with proper responsibilites.
Volunteer will be aged from 18.

Formação: The Volunteer will have Latvian language classes twice a week with privat teacher.

We want to give a possibility for children, young people and adults to get familiar with other cultures and languages spending time in intercultural environment.
Current volunteer has done EVS one year in France, she learnt in the country which is very experienced with non-formal education and programme Youth in Action, co-worked with other volunteers, french and foreigners, participated in all the related events of being a volunteer and came to Aluksne to improve and make the EVS happen here. This could be a great chance to give opportunity to the youngsters to see other possibilities and experience cultural exchange for the longer period like one year.
