Resumo: It's an association which promotes:
- learning through peer-education training and workshops on art and management;
- healthy lifestyles by organizing outdoor activities, hobby clubs and first aid courses;
- democratic principles by offering trainings on human rights;
- environmentally-conscious behaviour by raising public awareness about environmental issues through demonstrations, yard clean-up campaigns, after-school environmental education, moviemaking on environmental problems, Eco Gardens, and activities to recycle litter into saleable products.

Perfil: Organisation has no fixed profile of candidates to be our EVS volunteers, we are just looking for young people who would be motivated and interested in volunteering in Georgia. GYE doesn't't have any guidelines for gender and age. No special skills are required, our main criterion is applicant's motivation and reasons why he or she would like to participate in the project activities and volunteer in Georgia. Preference will be given to volunteers who are really willing to work with children and youth, organize their activities.
Candidates should speak in English Language.

Tarefas: The association is looking for 4 volunteers. Volunteer (a)- Office work, update the GYE website, help to create informational materials-leaflets, booklets, flayers.etc Volunteer (B)- Office work, develop new projects and ideas. Run the activities for the Local youngsters. Volunteer (C,D)- Run the activities at Non-formal Educational Centre.
The volunteers will join the team as additional members and get involved as much as it's possible for EVS volunteers. At the beginning of their Service time, EVS volunteers will be prepared for work from "step by step" programme. First they will gain an insight into working methods, internal procedures, rules and regulations. Bearing in mind volunteers previous experiences, interests, strengths and potentials, they will be invited to take over responsibility for special tasks and for realisation of own activities. In all activities there is always an implementation "traineeship" - there is an appointed leader who is fully responsible for running the activity. This person will explain to the volunteer his/her responsibility and will provide training or any kind of help, if needed.

Horário: Example of an EVS volunteer's possible timetable in a project "European Bridge in Our Mind":
Monday: Meeting with Staff - prepare and discuss plans for the coming week, analyse work of the previous week; Georgian language lessons; EVS and "Youth in Action" presentations in local schools of Rustavi city.
Tuesday: Office work; The conversation club.
Wednesday: Office work; Work with local leaders on local, international projects; European Club.
Thursday: Office work; Georgian language lessons; The conversation club.
Friday: Office work; Work with local leaders on local, international projects; updating of web page / VIDEO club.

The volunteer's service :
Monday 09.00 - 16.00

Wednesday 10.00 - 17.00
Thursday 12.00 - 19.00
Friday 10.00 - 17.00
Lunch break is 1 hour long.

Condições: Long-term volunteers will share with the other EVS volunteers a flat situated in a housing estate - about 5 minutes walking distance from the town centre, 1 minute - from the office. Each volunteer will have his/her own private bedroom. EVS volunteers will be given money to buy their own food. There is a kitchen in the volunteers' flat where they can prepare meals. Shops and restaurants are close-by (a 2-5-minute walk).
Upon arrival, the volunteer will receive an intensive Georgian language training for 1 month. Afterwards, he/she will have Georgian lessons 2 times a week (4 hours a week) for 2 months in the organisation together with the other EVS volunteers. Already on the first day we will provide the volunteer with a SIM card with Georgian phone number. So that he/she could contact family, friends and tell that he/she has arrived safe. We will provide the volunteer once per month with the "day off" team building activities (picnic, excursion, hiking) together with GYE staff and local volunteers, also with basic volunteering training and computer courses - how to use programs which volunteers will be using during their service time, etc.

Formação: The EVS volunteers (A, B, C) will be able to develop several competencies in order to improve their performance. Therefore, the Host organisation will provide the opportunity to EVS volunteers to have learning opportunities in different fields, such as:
- approach to the tasks of the project: develop responsibility for the project; become more open to new ideas; develop the sense of initiative; ability to plan and organize activities of the project; flexibility/adaptability and coping with new challenges; proactive attitude and independent work;
- leadership abilities: ability to face problems; ability to manage conflicts; develop positive attitude in difficult situations; positive attitude in order to take pride in team performance; team work with colleagues to achieve desired goals; ability to maintain open communication etc;
- team orientation: work effectively with others volunteers and other members of the team; active attitude to contribute to the achievement of group and organizational goals; acceptance of shared responsibility and ownership of projects; maintenance of open communication among team members; assume commitment to team success; consistent contribution with new ideas to the organization / new projects;
- innovation and creativity: ability to develop and implement innovate ideas in the projects; ability to provide unique/different perspectives to improve activities; ability to encourage innovation in themselves and others;
- personal characteristics: maintain a positive attitude at work; ability to act responsibly; ability to share information willingly; ability to make judgement and to make decisions;
- interpersonal and social competences: adaptability and coping with new challenges, team-working with colleagues, sharing responsibility for living together with a multi-national team of volunteers;
- cultural expression: knowledge about their and Georgian culture; knowledge about different techniques of children and youngsters cultural dynamics; willing to show volunteer's culture and spread among the children and youngsters multicultural projects, developing cultural awareness of each other's needs in a multi-cultural setting;
- communication in a foreign language: ability to communicate in Georgian in order to feel more integrated among the others; positive attitude in learning process of Georgian language; persistence to improve communication in English, Russian language;
