Resumo: EVS volunteers will gain diverse social & educational skills & competences, that will be useful for their upcoming educational/training & employment opportunities. They will be also involved in designing & implementing activities of social inclusion through nonformal educational methods practiced daily.

Perfil: Volunteers need to be interested in learning & personal development, enjoy working with kids & youth, be open & tolerant to other cultures. Flexibility is required, as they will work in a multicultural environment as part of an international team. No other special requirements, just being responsible, positive, energetic, communicative & a basic level of English is desirable to facilitate communication within project activities.
Age: 17-30

Tarefas: I.
• Target group: primary school kids within 5 rural communities
• Weekly (Mo-Fr) program 2h/day
• Activities to instill the basis for:
o Romanian & European identity
o Unity in diversity & cultural awareness
o Common European values

II.
• Target group: secondary school teenagers
• 6 weeks day camp program (3 July – 11 August) 2h/day
• Mixed groups of children in terms of origin (from rural & urban areas), gender, ethnicity (Romanian, Hungarian, German, Rroma) & religion, as result of partnerships with other schools
• Activities to consolidate & promote:
o 1st Week (3rd – 7th July) will be dedicated to HUMANITY, with daily references to human & children rights, power & its implications, peace, war & immigration within the international context, stressing the importance of information, values & balanced attitudes in an unpredictable world.

o 2nd week (10th – 14th July) the volunteers will approach DIVERSITY with focus on types of families, gender equality, freedom of choice, disabilities, race & racism, political views, ethnicity, skills, ageism to cultivate open mindedness & non judgmental behaviors.

o 3rd week (17th – 21st July) will address SOCIETY's modern changes & challenges, bulling, violence, tolerance & inclusion, social justice, volunteering & team work, to develop respect & adaptability.

o 4th week (24th – 28th July) aims to inspire teenagers to reflect on themselves & their potential, within a broader PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT theme that comprises topics related to the body, mind, soul & spirit of each individual. Therefore, the activities facilitated by the EVSers will approach/illustrate motivation & achieving aims, solidarity, responsibility & proactiveness, leadership, character & self-control, spirituality/religions.

o 5th week (31st July – 3rd August) will introduce basic notions of EMPLOYABILITY, with special focus on how economy works, skills & career prospects, globalization, money management, career opportunities & job shadowing, so that teenagers learn from volunteers' experience & give more thought to their future on the labor market.

o 6th week (7th – 11th August) sums up the program with special stress on the importance of EDUCATION, highlighting formal, nonformal & informal education, equal rights and free access to education, learning disorders, learning styles, differences & similarities within educational systems, information literacy, online/distance & life long learning. As Pakistani student Malala Yousafzai said before the United Nations Youth Assembly on 12th of July, 2013 at UN headquarters in New York “Education is the only solution. Education first.”

III.
• Target group: high school teenagers
• weekly event for high school level 2h/day
• Mixed groups of teenagers in terms of origin (from rural & urban areas), gender, ethnicity (Romanian, Hungarian & German), religion, as a result of a public call for participants within the community, with a special focus on the alumni of the 2 partner schools in Dumbrăviţa & Baia Mare.
• Activities to promote:
o Multicultural awareness
o Diversity, inclusion & equality of chances
o Gender equality & proactive attitudes against discrimination
o National and European identity
o Volunteering, mobility & job opportunities
o Good practice, know-how, support in the process of employability
