Resumo: Libraries nowadays are not just for readers anymore, they are cultural and information centers serving local communities and guests. Events, clubs, concerts, exhibitions organized by public libraries can offer activities to everyone starting with little children and ending with the seniors. Volunteers here will be able to help, create and learn too.

Seven public libraries established in cities and small towns of Lithuania will host 14 EVS volunteers from different parts of Europe and neighboring regions.

Perfil: This is an EVS project for young people, who wants to obtain new knowledge, abilities and skills for the future career.
Age: 17-30

Tarefas: • Programs for children: educational workshops, games, creative activities, funny readings, basic English lessons, etc.
• Cultural events for library visitors and local community.
• Organization of projects for youth.
• Variety of activities with the elderly (arts, sports, self-expression tasks, etc.).
• Daily library tasks: maintenance of publications’ fund, client service.
• Possibility to work with teenagers: creative workshops, basic English lessons, cinema club, making films, clips, young photographer’s club, etc.
• Possibility to work with adults: basic English club, discussion’s club.
• Possibility to work with seniors: computer courses in bigger groups or eye-to-eye.
