Resumo: The host organization is a young multicultural non-profitable organization based in Austria serving the public interest and common good. We promote art, culture, cultural diversity, interculturality, intercultural dialogue, peace, respect and reconciliation. We are based in the rural area where everything what is “different” stands out even more as in urban areas.

This is why we are organizing cultural and educational projects and events to address diversity and reconciliation but also to contribute to the development of rural areas and give all interest groups a chance to get involved. With our activities and initiatives we would like to make the community aware of the positive influences of cultural diversity but also bring together youth to exchange their knowledge and learn from each other. We work with and for all age groups.

Our annual projects:
1. Tower of Songs (music concerts with musicians and music writers who are not that well known).
2. Working with youth in the field of peacebuilding, promotion of tolerance 3. Artists of Reconciliation: under the patronage of famous personalities we are presenting international artists who have been through trouble and war personally and who have successfully overcome their hatred and animosities to be reconciled with themselves and their communities.

Perfil: Recruitment will be open to volunteers of any ethnic group, religion, gender and sexual orientation, political opinion as well as social and cultural background. Based on the received applications and the motivation of the applicants, we will choose the most suitable ones in regard to a specific theme or project.

Tarefas: The volunteer will get involved in the regular activities of the organisation and help with the logistics: arranging the venue before the event, document the event (filming, taking pictures, writing short articles in English for the FB site), update the FB and the website. By doing so they will be introduced to the field of public relations).

They will also get engaged into the daily office work: planning the events, preparing promotional materials, etc. They will participate in the organization of international camps and help with organizing promotional activities, workshops and trainings for volunteers. The volunteers will be introduced with the entire project implementation process: from the idea and a concept, writing an application and applying for grants to the actual implementation and through this process they will gain organisational skills.

Working in an intercultural environment (with Austrian, Irish and Slovene colleagues), the volunteers will learn how to communicate in an intercultural team since good intercultural skills in Europe in regard to labour mobility are essential.
