Resumo: The host organization is an ideal establishement in a quiet, rural area near the small town. We host a group of 5 volunteers in our 11 months long-term EVS-project. The volunteers share a flat and join in the responsibility of being an example and instructor for our mentally handicapped youngsters who range in age from 17 to 25 years old. Our community offers both school, work and boarding. Teaching is based on practical learning in different realms as ecological farming and gardening, wood workshop, house holding / housekeeping, cooking and social training. We also see great meaning in celebrating the different festivals of the year, and therefore music, painting and other creative activities are important for bringing cultural life into our community. The tasks are varied for anyone that joins us, volunteers take part in all the work and social life.

Perfil: Volunteers should be motivated for working with disabled people. Everyone should have an ability to communicate and connect with different people. We have values, rules and goals that we work for.Therefore it is important that the volunteers are interested in what we are and why we do what we do.
People wanting to volunteer with us should not have serious physical or mental problems. Our project is on a farm, allergic people may have problems.
A basic or beginner level of the norwegian language would be helpful, an interest in learning norwegian is expected.
