Resumo: The host organization is a non-profit NGO (non-governmental organization) which takes care of custody of orphans and homeless children as well as creates a system of orphan custody and education on the basis of a natural family model.
95-105 Children from over the Lithuania lives in a seperate houses (11 houses in a small village) of families consisted by 8-9 members. In each house works a social worker (lives here) called mother, and a social worker’s assistant (8-17h) called aunt. In the administration works, director, deputy director, 4 social pedagogues, secretary, public relations’ specialist, health specialist.

The village is safe place to live, because here lives a lot of social workers (mothers). We have a lifting barrier at the entrance road to the village which helps from the unwelcome guests. Each volunteer would have a tutor which will be able to help if some problem persists.
Th host organization creates a very warm microclimate and all volunteers are very welcome. We have 20 years of experience running the village and an assist of every state’s services in the need (Ministery of social affairs, local children rights protection agency, police and other). So in the case of crisis we are reacting very fast and with the help and cooperation with the services mentioned below.

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: Besides calm everyday life, volunteers could help the children to improve their life skills in everyday activities, participate and help to organize the events and other activities of the organization, go to excursions and other trips with the children with bycicles or by walking, help children on their spare time involving them into meaningful activities, help them with their homeworks of volunteers tongue language and other, to implement their own ideas to our community.

We do accept all kind of volunteers, regardless their background or other features. It is crucial to volunteer to love the children and to be willing to work with children who are from social risk environment, to be able to create relationship, willing to learn the language. To have the ability to work in a team, like the tourism trips and have physical strengthness for that.

Horário: Possible schedule (non weekend) for the working day:
11.00-11.30val. - planning the daily jobs with tutor.
11.30-13.30val. - help to the social workers
13.30-14.30val.-lunch
14.30-16.30val. - helping with the homework,
16.30-20.00val. - children's after school activities planning, organizing and lecturing the thematic workshops, making of the methodological tools, preparing for various events. Or simply spending time together.
