Resumo: Vievis Cultural Center is the main organizer of cultural events in the city. We
organize various activities for youth and community such as dances, choir,
traditional festivals, environment protection moves, sport events and etc. The
most important Vievis Cultural Center aims are:
1. To foster city and Lithuania cultural traditions;
2. To create new cultural traditions and events in the city;
3. To take care about the community cultural education.
The Cultural Center is in collaboration with church, media, municipalities cultural, education and non-formal education institutions, art groups from Lithuania and abroad, art and active leisure social centers.
Since 2011 in the center is working “Open space for youth”, where various projects for young people were accomplished. During students holidays in the Cultural Center organize day camps of creation where young people have a
chance to spent time with their age people, to do sport activities, play table games, attend drama courses or participate in various discussions. Center is interested in innovation and tries to enrich society’s cultural life by doing different projects.

Perfil: The preferable age of volunteers is 20-30 years old. We are expecting motivated persons with good social skills, who are interested in organizing interesting youth leisure time, arts, likes sport (volleyball, basketball, biking
and etc.), can communicate at least one of these languages (English, German or Russian) and don’t have health problems

Tarefas:  Helping at work with youth from 14 to 18 years old. The activity will be hold in “Open Space for youth” together with center employee which is responsible for activities for young people (discussions, table games, discos organizing, organizing other interesting and relevant activities for young people). Other tasks would be according
volunteer hobbies in the art groups in Cultural Center (traditional music, singing, dances, drama and puppet theatre, floristic).
 Helping to organize and attend events, festivals, movements or commemorations. This work will be with center event manager. Volunteer will help to create scenarios, designing posters, flyers and advertisement about the event, preparing the stage, helping to organize professional and amateurish art concerts, exhibitions.
Volunteer will have an opportunity to participate in preparation of main celebrations in the town (Easters, Pentecost, St.Johnas day, Onines and Assumption day).

Volunteers in our organization will spend as third (1/3) of their activity time for technical tasks (print and cling ads, share flyers, help clean up the hall, and the scene before and during the event, help prepare the demonstration and sound equipment for various events and musical equipment for youth discos etc) . The other part of working day (2/3 part of time) volunteers will work in an open youth space. If volunteers communicate English, German or Russian,
it will be possible to make interviews with current and new members, conduct surveys among young people on youth leisure opportunities in the town, present their hobbies or knowledge in a debate and open conversations.
Youth will vigil in open space, interviews with youth, helping young people prepare for thematic discos, sports events, tutoring of young people of social exclusion. The other volunteer will help organizers:
- Develop different scenarios of events (presentation of the idea, placement of individual parts of the event, show interest in the specifics of the event, to search information needed for the event on the Internet), and if
understanding between languages allows, to contact with the event's participants , partners.
- Creating scenery, create and design invitations, thank you letters, posters and others.
- The activities carried out during the event (tutoring of participants, photography, filming, meeting guests and acquaintance) .
Of course, the volunteer also on individual decision (if he/she wants) will be able to conduct an event, to create his own initiated script, or write an article for a local newspaper about the event or his/her activities, etc. Very happy
volunteer new ideas and initiatives.
If volunteers desire we will provide them with possibility to choose the activities forms and methods.Volunteers working schedule can change because of events and festivals time (e.g. from 18.00 to 24.00).
