Resumo: The basic aim of the project is to develope international youth work and to encourage young people to take an active part in organizing festivals or other major projects. A participant will get knowledge of organizing bigger events, knowledge about running smaller youth center and working in team.

One young person will volunteer for 6 months in our Youth center and working mainly on the Festival. Every year (for the past 22 years) 2 weeks in july are reserved for the summer youth festival. Festival is a combination of concerts, theatre, creative workshops, public dabates, workshops for children, sport events and is organized by young people.

Perfil: A volunteer should be active in the field of youth work It is important he/she is willing to actively participate in all project activities and want to learn and improve his/her competences and use them back home upon the return from the volunteer service.
Experience in multimedia, preparation of projects, working with groups and good communication skills are an advantage, as well as at least a medium level of spoken and written English.
No previous qualifications or educational level is required.

Tarefas: Most of the the time a volunteer would work on summer youth festival.

Besides tasks conecting to organizing Youth festival a volunteer will also work in Youth center and:
• Help organizing creative and other workshops in Youth centre or in different local organisations, including youngsters in primary and secondary school during the school year and during school holidays
• Help organizing film and music events, movie nights, literature evenings
• Teaching or helping with learning foreign languages
• Help with preparation of different thematic events/evenings and seminars
• Organizing workshops for intercultural learning
• Help with organizing photographic or art exhibitions
• Help with organizing different sport activities in our organisation, tournaments of ping-pong (table tennis) and footy
• Help with running life info point at high school and help with promotion of youth activities, including Erasmus+ program
• Help with informing young people, by e-mails, SMS, web page and keeping FB page updated, developing new ideas and approaches to inform youngsters about their opportunities
• Help with preparation and organizing some bigger events, Skate Contest, Street cultural event, Municipality day
• Help organizing different youth initiatives
• Being creative and willing to cooperate in everyday task in the centre
• Help with renovating, painting, changing interiors of the Youth Centre if needed
• Cooperating with schools, teachers, cultural centre, other organisation for youngsters, scouts, sport department, tourist office and Youth hostel
• Do a projects by her own choice
